      The descendants of William Robert and Rachel Hicks Pate and James Robert and Mary Elizabeth Dockens Pate will hold their annual reunion Saturday, October 28th at the First Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall, Center.  Beginning at 10:30 AM till.  Friends and relatives are invited to attend and bring a covered dish.  Drinks, bread and paper goods will be furnished.  Please Bring any  family photos or family articles that would be of interest.  Don't Forget our silent auction table.  For additional information email epate2@sbcglobal.net

 Friday Night October 27, 7:30pm -  Center Roughriders vs Diabol

Saturday October 28, Parade participants gather at Farmers Bank Parking Lot at 3pm Parade starts 4pm

Alumni meeting at 10am at the Cafetorium on Malone Drive

Class of 1938 will meet at the Pizzeria at 12-noon Saturday, October 28.

Class of 1939 will meet at Pinewoods Seafood at 12-noon Saturday, October 28.

Classes of 1945-1946 will meet at TR's Steaks and More following the alumni meeting October 28.

Class of 1956 will meet at Center Country Club at 7pm October 28.  Costs $25 single, $45 couples.  Will be food games dancing, Door Prizes, silent auction and photo ops.

Class of 1961 will meet at Harry's Smokehouse at 7pm Friday, October 28.  The classes of 1960 and 1962 are also invited to attend.  For more information contact Buddy Hancock at buddy@tellcon.net.

Obituaries
ALONZOLA COVINGTON STUDDARD
    Alonzola Covington Studdard, 75, of Carthage died October 6, 2006 in Carthage.  Burial was in Restland Memorial Park, Panola County.  Born May 6, 1931, in Center, she was the daughter of Vera Floyd Covington.  Ms. Studdard was a member of the Retired Teacher's Association.  She had been an educator for over 30 years.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Pat Henry Studdard and sister, Becky Stewart.  Survivors include daughters, Suzi Hogan of Mansfield, Texas and Rosie Bostick of Carthage; sister, Kathleen Hudson of Center. 
MACK DOUGLAS WALKER
    Mack Douglas Walker, 61, of Garrison died October 9, 2006. Burial was in Short Cemetery.  Born August 14, 1945, he was the son of Jodie Jackson Walker and Lela Mae Adkinson Walker.  Mr. Walker worked in Construction.  He is preceded in death by his parents; step-brother, I. K. Reagan.  Survivors include wife, Beverly Ann Walker of Garrison; son, Doug, Jr.; brother, Jodie Eugene Walker of Longview; sisters, Thelma Schaffer of San Augustine, Patsy Mae Bellard of San Augustine and Monnie Joe Sheridan of Liberty City.    Garrison Funeral Home.
LOTTIE L. DEATON
    Lottie L. Deaton, 85, of Center died October 18, 2006 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born November 27, 1920, in Cheraw, South Carolina, she was the daughter of Isaac and Rosa West Langley.  Mrs. Deaton was a Homemaker.  She was preceded in death by husband, Charlie Taylor Deaton and son, Joseph William Deaton.  Survivors include daughters, Joyce Hurt of Center, Laura Ann Parker of Spring.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
LELA ODELL PARKER
    Lela Odell Parker, 83, died October 22, 2006 at her home in Canton, Texas.  Burial was in Duncan Cemetery.  Born August 24, 1923, she was the daughter of Andrew and Eunice Chambless McDaniel.  Mrs. Parker was retired from Hardwood Floors. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, Emmett Elige Parker; daughter Ann Hampton, son Renard Parker; brother Freddie McDaniel and sisters Vera Youngblood and Verna Isham.  Survivors include sisters, Lillie Mae Sqruiel of Joaquin Mae McGowen, Debra Waller, Kathy Jerrigan all of Center and LeRea Foster of Canton; son James Parker of Joaquin and Paul Parker of Pittsburg, Texas. DONALD WAYNE BARTON
    Donald Wayne Barton, 44, of Tenaha died October 21, 2006.  Burial was in Restland Cemetery, Tenaha.  Born August 28, 1952, in Longview, he was the son of Leroy Barton and Glaydis Ramey Barton.  He is preceded in death by Father, Leroy Barton.  Mr. Barton is survived by son Cody Barton, Blaze Paul Barton and Shelton Ryan, all of Tenaha; daughter, Kristine Barton of Center; Mother, Glaydis Barton of Tenaha; brothers, Robert Barton of Flint and Donald Barton of Carthage; sister, Joann Smith of Center. 
DOROTHY SUE HOWELL ANDERSON
    Dorothy Sue Howell Anderson, 70, of Whitehouse, died October 18, 2006 at her residence.  Burial was in Neuville Cemetery, Shelby County. Born September 3, 1935, in Joaquin, she was the daughter of Hiram and Ruth Cook Howard.  She was a Homemaker. Ms Anderson is preceded in death by husband, Leonard E. Anderson.  Survivors include sons, Carrol Lee Anderson of Duston, Louisiana, Bobby Lynn Anderson of Scott, Louisiana, Michael Joe Anderson of Scott, Louisiana, Terry Glynn Anderson of Merrimack, New Hampshire; Brothers, Richard Howell of Shreveport, Louisiana and James Howell of Joaquin; Sisters; Helen Brown of Longview and Barbar Latimer of Joaquin.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
ONEIDA RAMSEY GORDON
    Oneida Ramsey Gordon, 93, of Joaquin died October 18, 2006 at her residence.  Burial was in Joaquin Cemetery. Mrs. Gordon was a Homemaker.  Survivors include sons, Arnold Burke Gordon of Port O'Connor, Ramsey Ruel Gordon of Joaquin; sisters, Norma Faye Ramsey of Mesquite, Annie Sue Hooper and Jordan, both of Joaquin.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
TAMMY CLAUDINE RILEY
    Tammy Claudine Riley, 39, of Center died October 20, 2006 in Center.  Burial was in Andrews Cemetery, Karnack.  Born June 13, 1966, in Morenci, Arizonia, she was the daughter of Wesley Claudine and Judith Ellen Miffin Farrer.   She was preceded in death by her Father and sister, Trudy.  Mrs. Riley was manager of the Lawn & Garden Depart of Wal-Mart in Center.  Survivors include mother, Judith Mifflin of Potosi, Missouri; daughters, Candy Sue Benton of Karnack and Tammy Riley of Progreso; sons, Donald Lee Benton, Jr. of Corpus Christi and Tammy Gene Riley of Progresso; sister, Kathy Boyer of Potosi, Missouri; brother John Farrier, Scott Farrier and Richard Farrier, all of Potosi, Missouri.
VADA MARIE FORESYTHE
    Vada Marie Foresythe, 76, of Center died October 25, 2006.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born December 30, 1929, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of William Greenberry Foresythe and Fannie Frances Broadway Foresthe.  Ms. Foresythe is preceded in death by parents; brothers, W. J. buford and Hollis Foresythe and sister Clara Mae Hogan.  Survivors include Multiple Nieces and Nephews and special Fried Billy Jeagn Neilsen of Center.
