hold its monthly meeting January 17, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Shelby County
Museum on Pecan Street. Our guest speaker this month will be Maggie Casto. She
is a member of The Daughters of the Republic of Texas and will speak to us about
the “DRT Traveling Trunk.” Everyone is invited to attend.

OBITUARIES
AMANDA BEENE MATTHEWS Amanda Beene Matthews, 32, of Center, died December 30, 2016, in Center. Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas. She was born March 26, 1984, in Suffolk, Virginia, to Ricky Beene and Vivian Ann Barnhill Beene. She was preceded in death by, Sister, Ashley Beene; Grandparents, Earl and Ruth Holland; Grandfather, Billy Taylor. Survivors include, Husband, Jud Matthews of Center; Children, Wesley Matthews of Center, Annigail Matthews of Center, Cameron Matthews of Center; Parents, Ricky Beene and Vivian Ann Barnhill Beene of Center; Sister, Kim Pearce of Atlanta, Texas; Brother, James Lowe & wife, Lucy, of Suffolk, Virginia; Grandmother, Joyce Taylor of San Augustine; Father-in-law, Jimmy Matthews of Center.
