Historical Society Meeting

The Shelby County Historical Society will have their regular monthly meeting,
Tuesday, January 18th at 6:30 p.m. at the Shelby County Museum. The
speaker will be David Swanzy and he will be speaking on "The Long Trek to Shelby
County" and its impact on the people and our county. Everyone is invited.

OBITUARIES
LEN B. HUGHES Len B. Hughes, 67, died January 5, 2011, at his home in Dallas, Texas. Len was born on Sept. 29, 1943, in Sabine Co., Texas, to Robert Irvin and Addie McDaniel Hughes. He grew up in Center, and was a 1962 graduate of Center High School. He served his country in the USAF. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Wife, Ellen Kinzie Hughes. Survivors include, Son, Ryan Hughes & wife Sarah Clopton; Daughter, Karen Hughes, all of Dallas; Brothers, Dr. Robert I. Hughes & wife Barbara of Center, Dr. Mack C. Hughes & wife Kathie of Amarillo. |
DENIECE STANBERRY MOORE Deniece Stanberry Moore, 48, died December 31, 2010 at her residence. She was born April 11, 1962 to Tommy J. Stanberry, Sr. and Bobbie Jean Tatum Stanberry in Center, Texas. She was preceded in death by her Mother , Bobbie Jean Tatum Stanberry. Survivors include, Husband, Arvis “Sneaky” Moore of Center; Father, Tommy J.
