OBITUARIES
BERTIS A. “Bert” LOUT Bertis A. “Bert” Lout, 87. of Buna, died December 25, 2011 in Beaumont. Interment was in Rather Cemetery, Shelby County. Bert was born July 9, 1924 in Shelbyville, Texas to John Arvie and Mattie Parker Lout. Bert served in the Merchant Marines and the United States Army. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Bernard Lout. Survivors include, Wife, Jean Carroll Lout of Buna; Daughters, Carolyn Lout Marquart & husband, John of Lumberton, Vickie Richards Bond of West Columbia, Texas. NORMAN JAMES “Jim” SAMFORD, JR. Norman James “Jim” Samford, Jr., 78, died January 13, 2012 in Kirbyville. Interment was in Sand Hill Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born in Center on May 19, 1933 to Norman James Samford, Sr. and Mary Outlaw Samford. Mr. Samford served in the United States Coast Guard Active Reserves. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include, Daughters, Michelle Renee Barron of Houston, Cynthia Diane Peveto & husband, Courtney of Buna, Jamie Leigh Miller & husband, Chris of Kirbyville; Sister, Jeanette Samford Myers of Livingston. PRECIOUS WILLIAMS Precious Williams, 90, of Tenaha, died January 15, 2012, in Dallas, Texas. Interment will be in BoBo Cemetery, Shelby County. Mrs. Williams is a retired teacher from Timpson ISD. Survivors include, Son, Fred Williams Jr. of Dallas, Texas. Hicks Mortuary, Center, Texas. |
