CHARLES L. TINDOL Charles L. Tindol, 95, of Center died January 10, 2006, in his residence. Burial was in Mt. Herman Cemetery. Born June 16, 1910, in the Waterman Community, he was the son of James and Leona Choate Tindol. Mr. Tindol was a retired aircraft worker and a dairy farmer. He was married to Eddeath Tindol, and she preceded him in death. Survivors include daughters, Joyce Winfree of San Antonio, Jeanie Opincar of Canyonville, Oregon and Carolyn Evans of Center; brothers, Chuck Tindol and James Tindol, both of Center; sister, Mary Ann Tindol. THOMAS E. TAYLOR, JR. Thomas E. "Ted" Taylor, Jr. 80, of Timpson died January 12, 2006, in Timpson. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Born July 12, 1925, in Timpson, he was the son of Thomas Edgar Taylor, Sr. and Harriett Clements Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a Civil Engineer with Pur Oil Company. He was a veteran of WWII and Korean War, having served in the Merchant Marines and a member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas. He was married to Kathleen Taylor of Timpson and she survives him. In addition to his wife, survivors include sons, Thomas E. Taylor, III of Gibson City, Illinois and Clayton Moore Taylor of Timpson; brother, William R. Taylor of Timpson. Taylor Funeral Home. |
ETTA ARMSTREET RISINGER Etta Armstreet Risinger, 97, of Patroon died January 15, 2006, in San Augustine. Burial was in Dunnigan Cemetery. Born July 26, 1908, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Jim Armstreet and Emma Denby Armstreet. Mrs. Risinger was a Homemaker. She was preceded in death by husband Johnny Risinger. Survivors include, children, La Rea Hughes of Longview, Robert Risinger and Ruth Smith, both of Patroon, Juanita smith of Pineland. Watson & Sons Funeral Home. |
ESSIE WARR STANFIELD Essie Warr Stanfield, 90, of Center died January 14, 2006 in Center. Burial was in Old Salem Cemetery. born September 20, 1915, she was the daughter of Robert Warr and Mattie Fountain Warr. Mrs. Stanfield was a Homemaker. She was preceded in death by husband Ernest Perry Stanfield; daughter, Ernestine Stanfield. Survivors include son, Robert Edwin Stanfield of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; brother, Hooker Warr of Nacogdoches. Watson & Sons Funeral Home. |
MICHAEL JAMES MASSEY Michael James Massey, 47, of Center died January 14, 2006, in Center. Cremation was requested. Born September 27, 1958 in Nuremberg, Germany, he was the son of J. b. Massey, Jr. and Emma E. Becker Massey. Mr. Massey was a self-employed truck driver. He was preceded in death by brother, Jack Mssey. Survivors include wife Jeannie Serrano Massey,; daughter, Monica Massey of Lufkin; sons, Jessie B. Massey of Nacogdoches, Stephen Serrano of nacogdoches; Parents, Emma E. and J. B. BENNY GRANT Benny Grant, 73, of Huxley died January 18, 2006, in his residence. Cremation was requested. Born July 15, 1932, he was the son of Forrest and Sarah Neill Grant. Mr. Grant worded in Civil Service for 28 Years. Survivors include his wife, Rita Grant of Huxley. |
GLADYS BRIDGES Gladys Bridges, 99, of Center died January 14, 2006. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park. Born September 24, 1906, in Hurstown, she was the daughter of Bonner Doggett and Amanda Doggett. Mrs. Bridges was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Bridges; sisters, Marie Jones, Inez Doggett, Exa Clark; brothers, Guy, Buford, Orren and Clarence Doggett. FLETA K. LINCOLN Fleta K. Lincoln, 83, died January 7, 2006. Burial was in Carroll Cemetery. Born May 22, 1922, she was the daughter of George and Jessie Kauffman. Mrs. Lincoln was a teacher with Shelbyville ISD. She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. She was married to Crosby Lincoln and he preceded her in death.
