The Shelby County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at the Mt. Zion CME Church located at 921 Martin Luther Drive, 3 blocks from Loop 500. We will be celebrating the Westview Cemetery Texas Historical Marker Dedication. Dr. Charles Tatum, Shelby County Historian and Author, will be the guest speaker. Everyone is invited.

BERNICE ADKISON
HUDMAN Bernice Adkison Hudman, 85, of Timpson, Texas, died February 2, 2014, at her home. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson. She was born August 24, 1928, in Center, Texas, to Elzie Carl Adkison and Dollie Hendricks Adkison. She graduated from Timpson High School in 1945. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, Noble Hudman; 2 Brothers; 1 Sister. Survivors include, Sons, Jeff Hudman & wife, Ann of Longview, Texas, Chris Hudman of Athens, Texas; Daughters, Johnnie Nix of Mt. RODNEY WINDHAM Rodney Windham, 56, of Center, died January 29, 2014 at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. Interment was in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born June 6, 1957 in Mansfield, Louisiana to Paul Delbert Windham and Lillian Walker. He was preceded in death by, Father, Paul Windham; Sisters, Layne Powledge, Phyllis Claybrook.
