The Shelby County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting February 20, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Shelby County Museum on Pecan Street. Our guest speaker this month will be Maggie Casto. She will speak about Frontier Medicine. Everyone is invited to attend.

MARGUERITE ADAMS Marguerite "Reatie" Adams, 102, of Lufkin , died January 23, 2018 at her residence. Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas. She was born October 23, 1915 in Arcadia, Texas to Flossie (Pate) and Frank Wallace. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, Paschal Adams; Son, Hal Adams; Brothers, Benjamin Wallace, Jessie Franklin Wallace; Sisters, Vada Tinsley, Marquette Emanis. SHARRON PARROZZO Sharron Parrozzo, 68, of Zavalla, Texas, died February 5, 2018 in Zavalla. Interment will be in Short Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born on September 2, 1949 in Jacksonville, Texas to Maurice Forbis and Wanda Hughes Forbis. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, D. J. Parrozzo; Brother, Ronnie Forbis. MIKE BYRN GREEN Mike Byrn Green, 73, of Alamosa, Colorado, died January 30, 2018 at his home. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson, Texas. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 21, 1944, to John Willard and Peggy Byrn Green. He served in the United States Coast Guard. DARRELL DEAN MATTHEWS Darrell Dean Matthews, 81, of Joaquin, died February 2, 2018, in Nacogdoches. Interment was in Jackson Cemetery, Shelby County.
