The Shelby County Historical Society
will hold its monthly meeting March 19, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Shelby County
Museum on Pecan Street. Our guest speaker this month will be Mr. Bill O'Neal.
Mr. O'Neal is the Texas State Historian and is a well-known author. He has
written many books about the history of Texas. He taught history for many years
at Panola College. He will speak to us about East Texan, Audie Murphy, the
most decorated War Hero. Everyone is invited to attend.

SUSAN LEAH GOLDING Susan Leah Golding, 61, of Asheville, North Carolina, died February 28, 2019. Interment was in Wimberly Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born September 5, 1957 in Port Arthur to Thurman Ross “TR” Golding and Hazel Fields Golding. She was preceded in death by her parents.
