He was the oldest of three boys, his middle brother being Richard Owens and his youngest brother being Jamie Rice Owens, Jr. Survivors include, Wife, Shirley Owens; Children, Ben Owens, Sandi Owens Davis (Son-in-law Charlie Davis); Brother, Jamie Rice Owens, Jr. (wife Linda).

Oldin Foster Cannon, 92, of Silsbee, died March 8, 2022. Interment was in Cannon Family Cemetery, Shelbyville, Texas. He was born on August 2, 1929, in Shelbyville, to Eunice Taylor Cannon and George F. Cannon. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1946 and enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 17. He served a three-year tour of duty with the Corps of Engineers in the South Pacific. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Wife, Helen Cannon; Son, George Cannon; Brothers, William Cannon, James Cannon.
