EDDIE W. MAHAN
Eddie W. Mahan, 86, died March 13, 2009 in Nacogdoches.
Burial was in Old Salem Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born March 17,
1922 in Nacogdoches County to Samuel T. Mahan and Eliza Jane Oliver
Mahan. He served his country in the U.S. Army where he was an Army
Ranger with the Second Indian Head Division. Eddie was a survivor of the
Omaha Beach Campaign at the Normandy Invasion. He was awarded the EAME
Campaign Medal with three Bronze Stars, a Purple Heart with one Bronze
Cluster, and a Bronze Star Medal. Preceded in death by, Parents;
Brothers, Clarence Mahan, Ernest Mahan, Nathan Mahan. Survivors include,
