SANDERS DIXON Sanders Dixon, 68, of Center died March 5, 2006. Burial was in Pleasant Grove-Tenaha. Born November 30, 1937, he was the son of Willie Dixon and Lonnie Dixon. Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by his parents and Brother Alonzo Moore, Sr. Survivors include his wife, Sheila Dixon; sons, TiQuana Dixon nd Scotty Emanis, both of Center; daughters, Leslie Courmier of Center and Emmie Baily of Shelbyville; brothers, Robert Dixon of Houston and L. B. Brown of Nacogdoches; sisters, Velma Haris of Center, Chanie Grubbs of Silsbee. Community Funeral Home. |
CONSTANCE MARY WEAVER Constance "Connie" Mary Weaver, 87, of Center died March 31, 2006. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery. Born January 24, 1919, in Liverpool England, she was the daughter of Algernon Stanley and Constance Mary Cavendish. Survivors include husband, Malcolm Weaver of Center; daughter, Mary Weaver Crain of Corpus Christi; son, Mark Weaver of Woodland Park, Colorado. Watson & Sons Funeral Home. |
GEORGE W. IHLO George W. Ihlo, 77, of Center died April 1, 2006, at his residence. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park. Born February 22, 1929, in Carthage, he was the son of Wilhelm and Jennie Mae Bunyard Ihlo. Mr. Ihlo was mayor of Center, for many years, as well as city council member and a volunteer firefighter. He was a Mason and a member of Sam Samford Lodge. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Ihlo of Center; daughters, Jen Ihlo of Alexandria, Virginia and Meg Heffernan of Houston; son, Billy Ihlo of Center. Mangum Funeral Home. |
IMA FURLOW Ima Furlow, 87, of Joaquin, died April 2, 2006 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial was in Wimberly-Rayburn Cemetery, Shelby County. Born October 13, 1918, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of J. J. and Lona Youngblood Duncan. Survivors include her husband, Edward Furlow, of Joaquin; son, Morris Wayne Brown of Joaquin; daughters, Beth Brown Lee and Carla Adkison, both of Shreveport. Mangum Funeral Home. |
JESSICA LYNN BURGESS Jessica Lynn Burgess, 17, of Pineland died April 4. 2006, in Houston. Burial was in Dunnigan Cemetery, Shelby County. Born March 66, in Lufkin, she was the daughter of Delwin Scott Burgess and Aimee Johnson.
