The long anticipated, first annual Myers Family Reunion. Be sure and mark your calendar, May 15, 2004, starting around 10:00 am. Ramah Baptist Church, between Tenaha and Payton, Texas. This will be an opportunity to visit with folks you probably haven't seen in years. Everyone should bring an old fashioned covered dish. All family members and friends are urged to attend. MICHAEL EVAN CAIN Michael Evan Cain, 38, of Center died April 22, 2004, in Shelby County. Burial was in Patroon Cemetery. Born August 31, 1965, in Lufkin, he was the son of Evan E. and Martha Abney Cain. He was a supervisor for Thompson Drywall. Survivors include wife, Dana Cain of Center; daughters, Mitzy Cain of Nacogdoches, Nikki Barlow and Savana Renfroe of Center both of Center; sons, Evan D. Cain of Center, Vesse Cain and Jesse Cain, both of Lufkin, Dustin Finch of Dallas; sisters, Viola Alexander of Nacogdoches, Becky Croomes of Caledonia, Sonya Stogner of Gary; brothers, Sam Cain, Rayford Cain, Robert Cain, jack Cain and Ronnie Shepherd, all of Nacogdoches, Jerry Cain and Bill Shepherd, both of Houston. PAM BALDWIN Pam Baldwin, 33, of Center died April 22, 2004, in Tyler. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park. Born May 23, 1970, in Houston, she was the daughter of Danny and Judy Wilburn Scarbrough. She was a teacher for Center Middle School. Survivors include husband, Scott Baldwin of Center; daughters, Savannah Green and Alli Jo Baldwin, both of Center; parents, Danny and Judy Scarbrough of Huxley; brothers, Pat Scarbrough and Phillip Scarbrough, both of Shelbyville. JESSE DOCKENS Jesse Dockens,78, of Joaquin, died April 25, 2003 in Joaquin. Burial was in White Rock Cemetery. Born March 13, 1926, in Shelby County, he was the son of Arlie Quinton and Ressie Grant Dockens. Mr. Dockens was a retired farmer and a US Army Veteran of World War II. Survivor include wife, Edythe Dockens of Joaquin; daughters, Dixie Ruth Arceneaux, Barbara Gene Surrette of Houston and Debbie Leigh Dockens-Barnard of Fajardo, Puerto Rico; brother, James Dockens of Joaquin; sister, Joy Eddins of Dekalb. RUTH KATHERINE BASS Ruth Katherine Bass, 73, of Shelbyville died April 27, 2004 in Nacogdoches. Burial was in Strong Cemetery. Born April 11, 1931, in Highlands, she was the daughter of Clay Smith, Sr. and Annie Bouse Smith. She was a homemaker. Survivors include husband, George W. Bass; brothers, Mitchell C. MAYDELLE PERRY CORNELIUS Maydelle Perry Cornelius, 99, of Timpson died April 28, 2004 in Garrison. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson. born June 27, 1905, in Garrison, she was the daughter of Charlie and Mary Morrison Perry. She was married to Herman C. Cornelius and he preceded her in death. She was a member of the first graduating class at SFA. She leaves two grandchildren. Taylor Funeral Home. |
EVA BELLE CHANDLER HENNIGAN Eva Belle Chandler Hennigan, 95, of Joaquin, died April 28, 2004 in Center. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park. Born October 7, 1908, in Arcadia, Louisiana, she was the daughter of Charlie and Sally Kilpatrick Chandler. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Hennigan is survived by daughters, Lucille Davis of Houston, Jean Hughes of Ruston, Louisiana, Wanda Sholar of Petal, Mississippi, Ina Stone.
