The Shelby County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting May 16,
2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Shelby County Museum on Pecan Street. Our speaker
this month will be either Mr. Sam Wheeler or Mr. Mike Brister. He will
speak to us about a program they have for the CenterAthletic Department called
Uncommon. Everyone is invited to attend.

EARL CEDELL CHESSHER, JR. Earl Cedell Chessher, Jr., 68, of Huntington Beach, California, died April 25, 2017, in California. Interment will be in Weaver Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born January 08, 1949 to Earl and Margaret Chessher. He was preceded in death by his parents. BOB BASS Bob Bass, 75, of Gary, Texas, died April 26, 2017 in Tyler, Texas. Interment was in Dixon Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born on April 13, 1942, in Timpson, Texas, to Ervin Bass and Irene Ivy Bass. He served his country in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Mother of his children, Patricia Bell Bass; Sister, Janette Foshee. He served his country for 26 years in the USAF.
