OBITUARIES
BENNIE CHARLES BOLES The Honorable Bennie Charles Boles, 84, of Center, died May 1, 2019, in Center. Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas. Judge Boles was born October 28, 1934, in Center, to Bennie Paul Boles and Rosa Lee Lock Boles. He graduated from Center High School. He served his country in the United States Army. He received his Law Degree from the University of Houston and was a lawyer for many years in Center before becoming District Judge for the 123rd District Court of Texas, over Shelby and Panola counties. He served four terms as District Judge and was a visiting judge in Dallas, Houston, and many counties in East Texas for many years afterward. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Sisters, Shirley Louise Young, Reba Boles, Rita Boles. Survivors include, Wife, Lessie Anita Boles of Center; Daughter, Deborah Ann Boles of Center; Stepbrother, Ralph Edward Campbell of Center. REGENA GAY STRONG Regena Gay Strong, 61, died April 29, 2019. Interment will be in Strong Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born July 27, 1957, to Rev. Elzine and Doris Strong.
