November 11, 2018 will be the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. With the help of Mr. Larry Hume, the Shelby County Museum has a display honoring all Shelby County Soldiers involved in the war. We will have an open house from 1 - 4:00 P. M. on June 29, 2018 and invite everyone to come to see this tribute.

Janie was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Kenneth Flowers; Sister, Thelma Smith; Husband, George Brodnax. Survivors include, Daughter, Karen Armstrong & Husband, John of Overton, Texas. A celebration of life with wonderful food and friends will be held in her honor at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Shelbyville United Methodist Church located at 252 FM 417, Shelbyville, Texas

Olean Cross Bradshaw, 90, of Center, died June 26, 2018, at her home. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born September 27, 1927, in Vivian, Louisiana, to Jessie Lee and Alice Brunette Hagood Cross. She was preceded in death by, Husband, Drewie M.
