The 12th Netherly Family Reunion will be held Friday, July 28, Saturday, July 29 and Sunday July 30, 2006 at the Community Center, 423 San Angustine St., Center, Texas. Friday, July 28th from 6:00pm - 7:15pm will be family fellowship/get acquainted; 7:30pm - 8:45pm dinner (fish fry); 9:15pm - 10:00pm will be the Netherly "Let's Make a Deal" game. Saturday, July 29th from 10:30am - 12:00pm family business meeting; 12:30pm - 3:00pm lunch; games will begin at 1:45pm - 3:30pm. Saturday Evening - 7:00pm - 10:30pm - modeling, talent show and dinner. Sunday, July 30th, 2006 - 7:45am - 9:00am church services "Todd Springs Baptist Church." HUBERT EUGENE SOWELL Hubert Eugene Sowell, 74, of Center died July 14, 2006 in Nacogdoches. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park. Born March 23, 1932, in Arcadia, he was the son of Kelly & Ruby Sowell. Survivors include his wife, Martha Sowell of Center; Son, Van Sowell of Center; brother, Jerry Sowell of Joaquin. DAVID WAYNE WHITTON David Wayne Whitton, 26, of Center died July 13, 2006, in Many, Louisians. Burial was in Sardis Cemetery, Shelby County. Born April 21, 1980, in McAllen, Texas, he was the son of Grady Whitton and Catherine Foley Whitton. Mr. Whitton was a Farmer and Roughneck. He is survived by his Parents. JAMES HENRY TRENT James Henry Trent, 78, of Center died July 13, 2006. Burial was in Spann's Chapel. Born October 18, 1928, in Hammon, Oklahoma, he was the son of James Harrison Trent and Annie Green Trent. Mr. Trent was preceded in death by his wife LaMerie Trent; son Johnny and Daughter Angela Trent. JAMES WENDELL HUTTO James Wendell Hutto, 79, died July 13, 2006. Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Timpson. Born May 13, 1927, he was the son of Floyd W. and Tina Marie Hutto. Mr. Hutto was a veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his Parents; brothers, Forrest, Raymond and Norris Hutto; sisters, Marie Jones and Cathy Sue Cooper. VIRGINIA JOY MATLOCK Virginia Joy Matlock, 79, of Baytown, died July 16, 2006. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Shelby County. Born August 27, 1936, in Crowley, Louisiana, she was the daughter of Vic Navarre and Mildred Faulk Navarre. Mrs. Matlock was preceded in death by husband, Jewel Matlock and son, Dewight Matlock. SHARON ANN WEEKS Sharon Ann Weeks, 59, of Joaquin died July 15, 2006 in Orange, Texas. Cremation was requested. Born October 27, 1946, in Orange, Texas, she was the daughter of Alfred Truitt, Jr. and Joy Dale Baker of Truitt of Joaquin. FORREST LAWSON Forrest Lawson, 73, of Center died July 17, 2006. Burial was in Antoich Cemetery. Born December 23m 1932, in Center, he was the son of Hobson Lawson and Lela Jones Lawson. Mr. Lawson was owner of East Texas Truck & Tractor. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Survivors include, wife, Nadine Lawson of Center; sons, Royce Lawson and Garry Lawson, both of Center; daughters, Tina Brown of Center and Ann Sizemore of Palestine: brothers Billy Lawson of Center, Tommy Lawson of Joaquin; Sisters, Oleta Cockrell of Joaquin Ruby Hughes of Center and Judy Carrington of Center. ESSIE R. WATSON Essie R. Watson, 96, died July 18, 2006, in Moulton, Alabama. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Shelby County. Born November 21, 1909, in Ballinger, Texas, she was the daughter of William Felix Rhame and Nancy Caroline Buckner. Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Thomas Watson, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
