Classes 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950 will meet at the new Shelby County Courthouse Community Room at 7:00PM on September 20, 2003
Class of 1956 will meet for our monthly luncheon at Pickles and Petunias Eatery, 510 Shelbyville Street at 11:30AM on September 20, 2003. This meeting has been moved from the first Tuesday of the month to coincide with Homecoming 2003
Class of 1967 will meet at Pickles and Petunias Eatery, 510 Shelbyville Street at 6:30PM on September 20, 2003
Class of 1978 will meet at Ihlo Farm on Airport Road, on September 20, 2003. Cost is $25 person. Contact jhairgrove@qzip.net for additional information

FAY MOORE CONWAY Fay Moore Conway, 70, of Nacogdoches died August 14, 2003. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas. Born February 26,1933, in Laurel, Mississippi, she was the daughter of William Joshua and Nancy Matilda Boutwell Moore. She was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. Mrs. Conway is survived by her husband, W.O. Conway of Nacogdoches; daughters, Barbara Ann Bailey of Nacogdoches, Cindy Conway Smith of Center; and one sister Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors. |
EREL BAKER LAAKE Erel Baker Laake, 91, of Timpson died August 19, 2003. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery, Timpson. Born October 7, 1911, in Timpson, she was the daughter of Tom and Arie Richards Baker. Ms. Laake was married to Eron Laake, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include daughters, Avie Williams and Shelba Wallace, both of Timpson, and Dorothy Spivey of Cushing; sisters, Uradee Dockrell of Pasadena, Thelma Moore of Houston, Katie Cole of Pasadena and Yvonne Baker of Timpson. MARY FRANCIS TAYLOR Mary Francis Taylor, 85, of Center died August 15, 2003 in Tyler. Burial was in Bradley County Arkansas. Born September 18, 1917 in Warren, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Milton and Beulah Davis Pennington. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Taylor; parents, Milton and Beulah Pennington; brothers, Davis Pennington and Bob Pennington and sister, "Pete" Owend and Iva Brown. Survivors include daughter Louise Hedrick of Hemphill. Watson & Sons Funeral Home. |
FLOSSIE LILLIAN JOHNSON Flossie Lillian Johnson, 94, of Marshall died August 18, 2003 in Center. Burial was in Colonial Gardens, Marshall. Born May 21, 1909, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Allan and Alice Matkin Jones. Ms. Johnson was married to Fred Johnson and he preceded her in death. Survivors include daughter Billie L. Wilson of Center; sisters, Audrey Bradford and Ann Trice, both of San Angelo. Mangum Funeral Home. |
