Oland Parker, 68, of El Paso formerly Center, died August 19, 2009 in El
Paso, Texas. Burial was in
Fairview Cemetery, Center, Texas. He was born August 14, 1941 in
Center to Charles Atlas and Jennie Ruth McCoy Parker. Oland left Center
to serve in the US Army in January 1959. He served in Europe and in
Vietnam, he was transportation officer in the General Services
Administration, and worked in the Federal Prison System. His honors
include the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the
Army Commendation Medal, the Bronze Star Medal, the Vietnam Campaign
Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal w/60 Device. He is preceded in
death by his Parents, Charles Atlas and Ruth Parker. Survivors include,
One Son; One Grandson.
