BUSH FAMILY REUNION, Sunday, September 4, 2005, 11:00AM til 4:00PM, at the Texas State Bank on Hwy 59 in Timpson, Texas. This family has been holding an annual reunion almost every year since about 1940. For the past 10 or 15 years, we have been meeting at the bank every year. If you are a descendant of George Hillery Bush and Margaret Ella Davis Bush, please try to attend. George Bush came to Texas from Alabama as a teenager. George married Ella Davis in 1878 and they raed 10 children in the Lake Murvaul Community. Many of their descendants still live in Panola County, many now in Shelby and Nacogdoches Counties and across the US. Don't forget to bring a covered dish. PEGGY GUIDRY WINDHAM Peggy Guidry Windham, 57, of Center died August 25, 2005, in Lufkin. Burial was in Strong Cemetery. Born January 2, 1948, in Huxley, she was the daughter of Elmer Guidry and Cora Mae Brittain Guidry. Survivors include sons, Clyde Parfait and George Windham, both of Center; brothers, Harrell Gujidry of Groves and William Guidry of Nederland; sister Louise Guidry of Joaquin. Mangum Funeral Home |
EVA THOMPSON Eva Thompson, 86,m of Paxton Community died August 28, 2005 in Center. Burial was in Willow Grove Cemetery. Born September 4, 1918, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of William Henry and Roby Oxner Hutto. Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker. She was married to Arlie George Thompson, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include children: Peggy Maxey of Many, Louisiana, Jo Warr, Ruby Everitt and Winnie Preston, both of Center, Trudie Willis of Lontgview, Rose Ann Ridout of Nacogdoches and Nora Robinson of Krugerville; brother, Clint Hutto of Carriere, Mississippi; sisters, Grace Rushing of Houston, and Azalea Connell of Holden, Louisiana. ALICE MARGARET HORTON Alice Margaret Horton, 91, of Tennessee Community, died August 28, 2005 in Nacogdoches. Burial was in Tennessee Cemetery. born July 16, 1914, in Timpson, she was the daughter of Bale and Julia Bowlin. Mrs. Horton was a homemaker. WILLIAM EARL PERRY William Earl Perry, 57 of Tenaha died August 30, 2005, in his residence. Burial was in Union Grove Cemetery, Troup. Born November 2, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama, he was the son of Charles and Mildred Sue Perry. Rev. Perry, pastor of Ramah Baptist Church, Tenaha. He was married first to Judy Perry who preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Perry of Tenaha; sons, Tim Perry of Tyler and Bobby Perry of Corinth; daughter, Debbie Grady of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; stepdaughter, Denis Shafer of Belton; father Charles Perry of Palestine; brothers, Jim Perry and Rusty Perry, both of Cener. BERNARD J. STEPHENSON Bernard J. Stephenson, 86, of Center died August 27, 2005. Burial was in Liberty Hill Cemetery, San Augustine. Born December 8, 1918, in San Augustine County, he was the son of Robert Frank Stephenson and Maude Richards Stephenson. Mr. Stephenson was a veteran of U.S. Army in World War II. Survivors include brother Carl Stephenson of Houston and Sister, Avis Joy Harris Of Carthage, Maudie Fay Elder of Shreveport, Louisiana and Minnie V. Lovejoy and Blanche Haley, both of Center. Fay Ramsey, 88, College Station died August 31, 2005 in College Station. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery, Shelby County. Born April 8, 1917 in Clayton, Texas, she was married to Hershell Ramsey. Mrs. Ramsey was a School Teacher in the Shelby County Schools. Survivers include by her Daughter Danny Ramsey Ballard; sister Ebbie Saunders and a host of relatives and friends. |
