LT. COL. V. E. WILSON Lt. Col. V. E. Wilson, USAF retired, 96, died September 6, 2013. He was born August 1, 1917. He was raised in Center and attended Stephen F. Austin State University. Following graduation in 1940, he joined the Army Air Corp Flying Cadet program. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in March 1942. He met his beloved Ann in 1945 when he was stationed at Boca Raton Army Air Field. They married less than a year later and their romance lasted 63 years. Col. Wilson served in the USAF for 24 years, retiring to Biloxi, Mississippi in 1965. He was preceded in death by his parents; Siblings; Wife, Ann Myers Wilson.
