JAMES REGINALD CRAWFORD James Reginald Crawford, 66, of Nacogdoches died September 23, 2004. Burial was in Powdrill Cemetery. Born January 16, 1938, in Arcadia, he was the son of James A. and Gladys Wheeler Crawford. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Wylda Crawford Dudley. Mr. Crawford was a retired school teacher. He is survived by nephews and other relatives. Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors. |
JESSE DON MOODY Jesse Don Moody, 7, of Center died September 25, 2004. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park. Born March 4, 1997, in Nacogdoches, he was the son of Donnie and Heather Rodgers Moody. JOHN CALVIN OATES John Calvin Oates, 84, of La Porte, died September 25, 2004. Burial was in Willow Grove Cemetery, Shelby County. Born April 18, 1920, in Paxton, he was the son of John Charles and Leta Belle Odom Oates. Mr. Oates was a retired school teacher and a World War II veteran. Survivors include his wife, Lurlene Gunter Oates of La Porte; daughters, Cynthia Peters of La Porte and Nelda Mills of Pasadena; son, John Fischer Oates of La Porte. Watson & Sons Funeral Home. |
DEACONESS MURTY REE REED Deaconess Murty Ree Reed, 61, of Carthage died September 20, 2004. Burial was in St. John Cemetery, Tenaha. Born November 27, 1942, she was the daughter of Allen Bell and Doris Murlene Bell Calloway. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Riley Reed Sr. and sister, Laverne Richards. Survivors include sisters, Helen Leonard and Dorothy Byrd, both of Nacogdoches and Cherry Earl of Timpson; brothers Robert Calloway and S. L. Calloway of Tenaha, Prentice Bell of Nacogdoches and Roosevelt Bell of Erie, Pennsylvania. |
BOBBY EUGENE SCOTT, SR. Bobby Eugene Scott, Sr., 67, of West Columbia died September 30, 2004, in Houston. Burial was in Blair Cemetery, Shelby County. Born December 29, 1936, in Nacogdoches, he was the son of Lee Roy and Lizzie Bass Scott. He was retired from Dow Chemical. Survivors include wife, Mary Scott of West Columbia; sons, Bobby Scott, Jr. and Johnny Scott, both of West Columbia; daughters Tina Wallace of North Carolina; brother, Jimmy Scott of Lake Jackson; sister, Estelle Burgay of Timpson.
