JOE CONLEY BLACKMAN
Joe Conley Blackman, 79, died September 21, 2009. Burial was in
Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas. He was born October 29, 1929.
He was preceded in death by, Wife, Mooneen Y. Blackman; Sisters, Billie
Jean Langham, Alma Bottomley; Brothers, W.C. Blackmon, R.B. Blackman;
Mother, Nancy Daniels. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force
where he flew B-29, B-36 and became a radio operator. He joined the
Strategic Air Command and became a B-52 tail gunner. He served in both
the Korean and Viet Nam Wars. He received the Air Force Longevity
Service Award, Korean Service Medal, FEAF Air Medal, FEAF U. N. Service
Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
Survivors include, Son, Scott Blackman & wife, Linda of Ft Worth;
Daughter, Susan K. Reed & husband, Randy of Sacul.
