CLIFTON MARQUETTE CAGLE
Clifton Marquette Cagle, 64, died September 1, 2021. Clifton was born on October 7, 1956, to Clifton Edward Cagle and Zera Christen Armstrong in Center, Texas. He  graduated from Shelbyville High School.  He served his country in the U. S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, William Raymond Cagle.  Survivors include, Wife, Barbara Jean Cagle; Brothers, John Henrey & wife Cyndi Cagle of Center, J. C. & wife Susan Cagle of Shelbyville; Sisters, Rosemary Cagle of Shelbyville, Christine Border of Center, Lizz & Joe Rama of Nacogdoches; Children, Ronny Williams & wife Christal of Temple, John Hutto of Shelbyville, Vanessa Walker & Mike Selman of Center, Sarah & John Berry of Joaquin.

FELIX GONZALEZ, JR.
Felix Gonzalez Jr., 35, of Center, died September 29, 2021, in Nacogdoches.  Interment will be in Raymondville, Texas.  He was born September 16, 1986, in Lamesa, to Felix Gonzalez-Torres Sr. and Maria Chavez.  Survivors include, Daughter, Alessandra “Desi”; Parents, Felix Gonzalez-Torres Sr. and Maria Chavez; Siblings, Maricela, Maribel, Marilee, Marisol, Mariel, Jose, Jesus, Melissa, Justin, and Yesenia.

MERLINE MANCIL HAYDEN BYLEY
Merline “Miss Pete” Mancil Hayden Byley, 88, died September 29, 2021 in San Augustine, Texas.  Interment was in Mt. Herman Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born on March 11, 1933 to Noel Mancil and wife Josie.  She was preceded in death by, Son, Jeffery Hayden; Parents; Brothers, Roger Mancil, William Mancil, John Mancil;  Sister, Nancy Jane Mancil Bailey. Jennie Mae Greer, 78, died September 28, 2021. Gerald “Jerry” Messer, of Porter, Texas, died September 27, 2021. He was born August 28,1937, to Robert and Hazel Messer and grew up in Houston, Texas.   He retired to Timpson, Texas in 1996. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Robert Messer; Daughter, Sherry Kingsbery.  Survivors include, Wife, Dorothy Henry Messer; Daughter & son-in-law, Deborah Lundin and Bill Johnson; Son & daughter-in-law, Denny Messer and Rose Messer; Sister, Rosa Messer.

CODY PATE
Cody Pate, 37, of Timpson, Texas, died October 3, 2021, in Houston, Texas.  Interment was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born on February 26, 1984, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to Jeff Pate and Cindy Jones.  He attended High School in Timpson, Texas.  Survivors include, Father, Jeff Pate & wife, Cindy; Mother, Cindy Jones; Children, Kaden Pederson, Brileigh Pate; Sisters, Cheryl Milford & husband, Shawn; Kristen Hibbard & boyfriend, Andrew Harvey; Step-sisters, Jada and Jordan Davis.

STEVEN DOUGLAS PARENT
Steven Douglas “Steve” Parent, 53, of Houston, Texas, died September 26, 2021 in Houston.  Interment was in McClelland Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born August 3, 1966, in Santa Monica, California to Roger Parent and Doris Carriere.  He was a Navy Seal from 1988-1996.  During this time, he was awarded two Purple Hearts as a service member.  Survivors include, Wife, Jan Parent of Houston; Stepson, Derek Ferrell of Houston; Mother-in-law, Dorothy “Doy” Hess of McClelland Community; Father, Roger Parent of Simi Valley, California; Brothers-in-law, Troy Hess, Roger Hess.
Arrangement are under the direction of Cypress Fairbanks Funeral  Home, Houston and Watson and Sons Funeral Home, Center.

 

BOBBIE LOU JENKINS
Bobbie Lou Jenkins, 87, died October 4, 2021, in San Augustine.  Interment was in Patroon Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born September 17, 1934, in the Patroon Community of Shelby County, to Thomas Jones and Thelma Monroe Jones.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Floyd Jenkins; Parents; Brother, Elec Jones.  Survivors include, Sons, Tom Jenkins & wife Sandy of Patroon, Steve Jenkins & wife Liz of Athens, Todd Jenkins & wife Stephanie of Garland; Brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joe & Ann Banks, Kathy Jones.
