Davis, Jr., a lifelong resident, was born in Center, Texas to W. .I. Davis, Sr. and Eula Redditt Davis on September 29, 1922. He graduated from Center High School in 1939. NOLAN COGSWELL Nolen Cogswell, 90, of Joaquin, died October 18, 2014 at his residence. Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas. He was born November 10, 1923, to Aquila Levi Cogswell and Mary Elizabeth Day. He graduated from Center High School in 1942. Nolen did not qualify for military service, but served his country during World War II by working in the shipyards in Seattle, Washington, building destroyers. He was preceded in death by his parents.
