CHIEF CARSON NEWMAN PARKS
    Chief Carson Newman Parks, 80. died October 14, 2006.  Burial was in Patroon Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born November 19, 1924, in Kizer, Tennessee, he was the son of Edgar Haskel and Florence Bivens, Parks.  Chief Parks was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and three brothers.  He is a veteran of WWII.  After the military he served in law-in-forcement.  Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Parks, of Carthage; sons, Edward Parks of Clayton Wade Parks of Carthage.  Jimmerson-Lipsey Funeral Home
ROSA MILDRED ROBERSON
    Rosa Mildred Roberson, 78, of Tenaha died November 13, 2006 in Carthage.  Burial was in Old Union Cemetery, Tenaha.  Survivors include Husband Chuck Roberson of Tenaha; Daughters; Jan Dial  and Cristie Baker, both of Tenaha; son Chip Roberson of Tenaha.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
BARBARA BATES HENRY
    Barbara Bates Henry, 66, of Center died November 12, 2006 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Sardis Cemetery.  Born November 17, 1939, in Portales, New Mexico, she was the son of Jesse Ray and Eula Pearl Bethel.  Mrs. Henry had been employed by Tyson and Holly Farms. Survivors include son, David Whitton of Center.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
IVA MAE ANDREWS
    Iva Mae Andrews, 91, of Center died November 12, 2006 in Nacogdoches.   Burial was in North Jericho Cemetery, Shelby County.   Born November 8, 1915, in Center, she was the daughter of Arnett and Jessie Reynolds Ogden.  Ms. Andrews was retired from Center ISD,  She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Andrews; son James Andrews; three sisters and two brothers.  Survivors include daughter Jean Lawson of Center; son, Randy Andrews of Center.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
DAVID SIMS
    David Sims, 55, of Center died November 11, 2006 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Sardis Cemetery.  Born April 20, 1951 in Center, he was the son of Travis Lamar and Clara Odell Meyers Sims.  Mr. Sims was preceded in death by his father, Travis Lamar Sims.  Survivors include wife, Lisa Sims of Center; daughters, Christy Lunsford of Center; son, Kevin Sims of Center; Mother, Odell Sims of Shelbyville; Brothers, Ricky sins of Shelbyville, Danny Sims of Nacogdoches; Jeffrey Sims of Shelbyville; sister, Laurie Sepulvado of Carthage.
GEORGIA "PAULINE" HOPKINS JACOBS
    Georgia "Pauline: Hopkins Jacobs, 79, of Waskom died November 10, 2006, in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Burial was in Old Union Cemetery, Tenaha.  Born October 5, 1927, she was the daughter of George and Ruby Counts Hopkins.  Mrs. Jacobs was preceded in death her Parents: husband James W. Jacobs and sister Mildred Bolden.  Survivors include Sons, William Ray Jacobs of Huntsville, Stephen Edward Jacobs of Shreveport, Louisiana; George H. Jacobs, of Shreveport; daughter, Sylvie Ouida Williams of Waskom; brother, Wayne Hopkins of Center. Mangum Funeral Home.
ALFRED HAROLD DOSTER
    Alfred Harold Doster, 81, of Nacogdoches, formerly of Center died November 9, 2006 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Newburn Cemetery.  Born December 28 1024, in Shelby County, he was the son of Obie and Ethel Wicker Doster.  Mr. Doster is a veteran of U.S. Air Force, having served during WWII.  Mr. Doster is preceded in death by his parents, Obie and Ethel Doster and Brother, Herschel Doster.  Mangum Funeral Home.
JOE RAMAR CARROLL
     Joe Ramar Carroll, 77, of Joaquin died November 16, 2006, in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Jackson Cemetery.  Born April 21, 1929, in Joaquin, he was the son of Mack and Ethel Childress Carroll.  Mr. Carroll was retired, as an electrician.  Survivors include, brother, Doyle Carroll of Joaquin and special friend Faye Ashley, of Joaquin.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
RALPH BUCKNER
    Ralph Buckner, 80, of Joaquin died November 9, 2006.  Burial was in Johnson Cemetery, Joaquin.  Born December 3, 1925, in Haslam, he was the son of Will and Dosia DeFriend Buckner.  Mr. Buckner was a member of Joaquin Masonic Lodge 856.  He was a veteran of WWII.  Survivors include wife, Avis Buckner; daughter, Martha Buckner of Houston.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
NANCY KAY CRAIG
    Nancy Kay Craig, 63, of Mesquite, formerly of Center, died November 9, 2006.  Burial was in New Hope, Texas.  Born January 1, 1943, she was the daughter of Robert and Oleta Brick.  Survivors include husband Wayne Craig; son Scott Craig; daughters, Sheryl Bosco, Sharla Craig.  New Hope Funeral Home.
DELMER ROYCE WHIDDON
     Delmar Royce, Widdon, 71, of Tenaha died November 10, 2006.  Burial was in Old Center, Panola County.  Born March 22, 1935, in Logansport, he was the son of Ellie and Donie Syble Adams Whiddon.  Mr. Whiddon was a veteran of the US. Air Force.  Survivors include Yvonne Whiddon; son, Michael Royce Whiddon of Lake Cherokee; daughter, Debbie Crawford of Carthage; sisters, Helen Craft of Gary, Doris Swanzy of Appleby, Brenda Sears of Mt. Enterprise and Linda Vickery of Tenaha.  Hawthorn Funeral Home, Carthage.
RONNIE JACKSON
    Ronnie Jackson, 48, of Orange died November 13, 2006.  Burial was in Patroon Cemetery.  Born January 29, 1958, in Center, he was the son of Belton Jackson and Clarice Risinger Jackson.  Survivors include wife, Lisa of Orange; sons, Dusty Jackson, Blake Jackson, and Jody all of Orange.  Watson and Sons Funeral Home.
