D. WOOD SHOLAR
D. Wood Sholar, 90, of Joaquin died December 11, 2006 in Center. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park. Born August 18, 1916, in Joaquin, he was the son of Ransom and Mollie Wood Sholar. Mr. Sholar was a farmer and rancher. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jodie B. Walker Sholar; Brother, Lacy Sholar; sister, Alma Sholar Davis; and infant son. Survivors include son, Nolan Sholar of Joaquin; daughter, Linda Sholar of Clute, Texas. Watson & Sons Funeral Home.

MARGUERITE HINTON
Marguerite Hinton, 81, of Joaquin died December 9, 2006, at her residence. Burial was in Jackson Cemetery. Born April 25, 1925, in Joaquin she was the daughter of Willie and Effie Smith. Mrs. Hinton was preceded in death by son, Wayne Hinton. Survivor include Husband Warren Hinton of Joaquin; Son, Warren E. Hinton of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; Brother, Glenn Jones of Centerville. MCKAYLA DESHAY SMITH
McKayla Deshay Snith, Infant, of Shelbyville died December 7, 2006 in Center. Burial was in Patroon Cemetery. Survivors include Mother, Kristy Windham of Shelbyville; Father, Tyrone Smith of Center; Sister, McKenzie Paige smith of Shelbyville.

MARLENE JORDAN
Marlene Jordan, 62, died December 7, 2006 at her residence, in Tenaha. Cremation was requested and ashes returned to Georgia for burial by her parents. Born March 5, 1944 in Griffin, Georgia, she was the daughter of John Taylor and Kathryn Cornwell English. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence Jordan; son Robert Ray Jordan; Brother, infant, Harvey English and Sister Betty. Survivors include daughter, Margaret Hite of Tenaha; son, John Jordan of Tenaha, Daughter, Barbara Jordan of Tenaha, Dianne Jernigan of Lufkin and Donna O'Neak of Lufkin. Mangum Funeral Home.

ILLA FAYE BOWMAN
Illa Faye Bowman, 74 of Tenaha died December 6, 2006. Burial was in St. John Cemetery. Born September 15, 1932, in Tenaha, she was the daughter of Nelse and Veda Mae Reed Bowman. Survivors include, daughter, Vada M. Bell of Tenaha; sister, Emma Jean Roland of Tenaha; brother, Nelse Bowman II of Houston. Hicks Mortuary.

JIMMIE EDWARD BYARS, SR.
Jimmie Edward Byars, Sr., 79, of Mabank, died December 12-2006. Burial was in Truitt Cemetery, Shelby County. Born December 26, 1928, in Waxahachie, he was the son of James Ollie Byars and Jessie Jane Aydelotte Byars. Mr. Byars was a veteran of U. S. Navy and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was preceded in death by parents, son, Jimmie Edward Byars, Jr., 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Survivors include wife Betty Jean Byars of Mabank; daughters, Brenda Richard of Joaquin, Nancy Henderson of Eustace, Lisa Dunning of Mabank. Watson & Sons Funeral Home.

GERALDINE "LOIS" ROBINSON
Geraldine "Lois" Robinson, 79, died December 12, 2006 at her residence. Burial was in Blair Cemetery. Born January 5, 1927, she was the daughter of John and Ola Wolf Fenamore. Survivors include 8 children, Fredia Harrup of Center, george Samford of Kerrville, David Samford of Rockport, James Samford of Jewett, John Samford of Ingram, Mark Samford of Mishawaka, Indiana. Dale Robinson of Ingram; sister, Doris Sheffield of Lincoln, Nebraska and brother Alton Wiggs of Cabot Arkansas.

Hester Pinkston Lamon, 76, of Center died December 14, 2006. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park. Born April 16, 1930, in Chireno, she was the daughter of Lester and Mary Beasley Pinkston. Mrs. Lamon was preceded in death by 4 brothers and a twin sister. Survivors include husband, Rev. M. D. Lamon; Daughter, Shirley Goodwin of Center; sons, Aubrey Lamon of Center, Don Lamon of Edwards, Mississippi and Garfield D. Lamon, Sr. of Woodville.
