D. WOOD SHOLAR D. Wood Sholar, 90, of Joaquin died December 11, 2006 in Center. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park. Born August 18, 1916, in Joaquin, he was the son of Ransom and Mollie Wood Sholar. Mr. Sholar was a farmer and rancher. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jodie B. Walker Sholar; Brother, Lacy Sholar; sister, Alma Sholar Davis; and infant son. Survivors include son, Nolan Sholar of Joaquin; daughter, Linda Sholar of Clute, Texas. Watson & Sons Funeral Home. |
MARGUERITE HINTON Marguerite Hinton, 81, of Joaquin died December 9, 2006, at her residence. Burial was in Jackson Cemetery. Born April 25, 1925, in Joaquin she was the daughter of Willie and Effie Smith. Mrs. Hinton was preceded in death by son, Wayne Hinton. MARLENE JORDAN Marlene Jordan, 62, died December 7, 2006 at her residence, in Tenaha. Cremation was requested and ashes returned to Georgia for burial by her parents. Born March 5, 1944 in Griffin, Georgia, she was the daughter of John Taylor and Kathryn Cornwell English. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence Jordan; son Robert Ray Jordan; Brother, infant, Harvey English and Sister Betty. Survivors include daughter, Margaret Hite of Tenaha; son, John Jordan of Tenaha, Daughter, Barbara Jordan of Tenaha, Dianne Jernigan of Lufkin and Donna O'Neak of Lufkin. Mangum Funeral Home. |

JIMMIE EDWARD BYARS, SR. Jimmie Edward Byars, Sr., 79, of Mabank, died December 12-2006. Burial was in Truitt Cemetery, Shelby County. Born December 26, 1928, in Waxahachie, he was the son of James Ollie Byars and Jessie Jane Aydelotte Byars. Mr. Byars was a veteran of U. S. Navy and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was preceded in death by parents, son, Jimmie Edward Byars, Jr., 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
