New Stuff/Additions/Corrections
I am a native of Shelby County and am doing some research
on the affects of the influenza epidemic of 1918 on the area. I am also
interested in any information you might have regarding the calling up of men
registered for the draft. My grandfather, Clement Snider, lived near
Choice and registered for the draft in Shelby County on June 5, 1917, but I'm
not sure when he was called up. I know he was sent to Camp Cody in Deming,
NM, and I know he was there during the influenza epidemic. I come into
Shelby County quite often to visit family, so I would be able to come by and do
research if you have anything available that might have some of the information
I'm interested in. Really anything from the fall of 1918 would be
something I would be interested in.
Thank you so much for your time & any help you can give me in this matter,
