The Church  is located on FM 2428 between Highway 84 and Highway 7.  It was established in 1914 on land donated by George H. Stephens and his wife Ruth Adaline Truitt Stephens.  

The Missionary Baptist Church of Christ at Pine Ridge, Shelby County Texas was organized on the second Sunday in September, 1895 with (7) seven members with Covenant and Articles of Faith here in after stated.

At its first regular meeting on second Sunday in October 1895, after devotional exercise by Brother S. H. Childress the church in conference proceeded to the selection of pastor and clerk for the ensuing year, which resulted in the selection of J. W. Collins for pastor and R. G. Jackson for clerk. After which Brother's Friddell, Willis and Jackson were chosen delegates to represent the church in the association, which met with Tenaha Church on Friday before the third Sunday at which time the church was received into the fellowship of the association.  At its second regular meeting on second Sunday in November after devotional service Brother Collins accepted the pastoral charge of the church. And the second Saturday and Sunday were fixed as our regular meeting days for the ensuing year.  At its regular meeting in December after preaching by Brother Collins conference was called. Brother John Pierce and Sister Mary J. Truitt presented their letters and was received into the fellowship of the church.

At its regular meeting on second Saturday in January 1896 after preaching by Brother Collins, Sister Emily Walker presented her letter and was received into the fellowship of the church. After which a committee of church Covenant and Declaration of Faith were appointed consisting of, Brother's Britnell, Pierce and Jackson. After which Brother's Pierce, and Jackson were appointed as a committee to meet in counsel with other church on Saturday before fourth Sunday. At the regular meeting on Saturday before the second Sunday in February after service by pastor, Brother and Sister M. E. Cole presented letters and was received into the fellowship of the church. Pine Ridge Baptist Church June 13, 1896.
After preaching by Brother Collins conference was called and after reading of the minutes of previous meeting Brother E. W. Cockrell and Sister Lula Cockrell, and Sister Josie King presented letters and were received into the fellowship of the church. After which the following Rule of Decorum was adopted by the church;   "We will not hold any Brother in fellowship who refuses to pay his honest debts."  There being no further business conference adjourned until next meeting. Pine Ridge June 13, 1897
After preaching by Brother John A. Smith the church was called in conference. The clerk being absent Brother John Pierce was appointed clerk pro tem. After the regular order of business the case of Brother Skagg's was taken up and discussed and after hearing a letter read from him in which he asked the church to give him until the July meeting to make proof of his having been married. It was moved and second that his request be granted. By move and second Brother M. E. Cole was elected financial agent for the church. Pine Ridge July 10, 1897
Brother Collins being absent, divine service was conducted by Brother Busby. The church was declared in conference minutes of the previous meeting was read and adopted.   After which a letter was read from Brother Skaggs to Brother J. A. Smith. The letter proving unsatisfactory, a motion was made to withdraw fellowship from Brother and Sister Skaggs, which was done by a unanimous vote of the church present upon a charge of contempt. Pine Ridge August 7, 1897
After prayer meeting church met in conference minutes of previous meeting was read and adopted. A call for volunteer messengers to fifth Sunday meeting was made, Brother's Cockrell and Jackson responding. After which Brother Pierce offered his resignation as deacon and was accepted. The church proceeded to elect Brother E. W. Cockrell as deacon. Sunday night (Aug.8) Brother W. A. Walker presented a letter for him and wife, were received into the fellowship of the church.

Monday (Aug.9) Brother Busby and wife, and Sister Ida Farmer were received into the fellowship of the church upon statement and Sister Anna Fonville was received for baptism.

Tuesday (Aug.10) after preaching Brother Charles Pattillo and wife were received in the fellowship of the church upon statement.

Wednesday (Aug.11) 11o'clock after preaching Sister Altona Walker and Sister Ida Pattillo were received for baptism. Wednesday night Brother Dave Tomlin and wife was received upon letter. Brother's J. Farmer, Colbert Pattillo, and Sister Ethel Pattillo were received upon statement.  Brother Benton Crow was received for baptism.

Thursday (Aug.12) 11o'clock after preaching Sister Bill McNeece was received upon promise of a letter. Thursday night Sister Giller Golden was received for baptism.

Friday (Aug.13) 10 o'clock Sister Susie McNeece upon experience of grace at the water after which Brother Collins proceeded to baptize the candidates. After which the audience returned to the church for preaching. After which the hand of fellowship was extended. After which the church proceeded to select Collins, Melton, and Pierce as presbytery to ordain Brother E. W. Cockrell as deacon, Brother R. G. Jackson as spokesman for the church.

Pine Ridge September 11, 1897
After divine service by Brother Busby the church was called into conference after selecting Brother Wharton as moderator pro tem. After extending the privilege of the church, proceeded in the regular order of business. After which proceeded to select a pastor for the next associational year. Which resulted in the choice of Brother J. W. Collins by a unanimous vote. After which Brother R. G. Jackson tendered his resignation as church clerk and was accepted. The church proceeded to elect Brother J. W. C. Britnell as church clerk. After which the church proceeded to elect messengers to the association to be held at Lone Cedar which resulted in the choice of Brethren R. G. Jackson, E. W. Cockrell, and W. A. Watson, as alternates Brother's W. A. Walker, J. A. Farmer, and E. J. Willis. After which the clerk was instructed to prepare a letter to send to the association and we recommend Brother George T. Graves to be appointed to the executive board.  After which by motion of the church Brother R. G. Jackson was licensed to preach to exercise his gift in the ministry of the Gospel of Christ.  Conference adjourned till next day Sunday and then no further business on motion adjourned till next meeting. Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist October 9, 1897
Church was called to conference after preaching by Brother J. W. Collins. Privilege of the church was extended for the reception of members Brother J. T. Dorman, and Sister May Dorman and Sister Elizabeth Dorman presented themselves by letter and was receivedThen called for the reading of the previous conference minutes, read and stood adopted.  Brother J. W. Collins then declined to respond to the call of the church for the ensuing year. Then the church proceeded to elect another pastor which resulted in the choice of  Brother W. H. Jopling.  On learning that Brother G. T. Graves could not act as executive board member from our church we then elected Brother W. A. Watson and clerk was instructed to insert his name in the letter to the association for the appointment.  Then the letter to the association was read and adopted and a small collection of money  was taken up for minute fund to the association, and also part of pledges collected for pastors salary and paid to pastor. Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church November 20, 1897
After preaching by Brother W. H. Jopling church was called into conference.   Privilege of the church was extended for the reception of members none presented themselves. Called for the reading of the minutes of previous conference, they stood adopted. Called for the reading of the letter of Brother Busby, wife, and Sister Ida Farmer from Myrtle Head Church which was received.  On motion the members of the church make an effort to try to urge each other to pay to the financial agent Brother M. Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church Saturday before the second Sunday in January 1898  
After preaching by Brother W. H. Jopling church was called to order in conference.   Privilege of the church was extended for the reception of members, none presented themselves.  Then the church called for the reading of the minutes of the previous conference, which was read and stood adopted.  Then the church proceeded to elect three delegates to the fifth Sunday meeting at Joaquin Church, which resulted in the choice of Brother's Charles Pattillo, John Pierce, and E. J. Willis.   Brother R. G. Jackson was chosen as spokesman for the church in the ordination of Brother J. T. Dorman on Sunday as deacon.  Brother Charles Pattillo was recommended to the fifth Sunday meeting to be recognized as executive board member because of Brother Watson's resignation. 

On Sunday (Jan.9) the letter to the fifth Sunday meeting was read and adopted.   After preaching by Brother James Childress, ordained Brother J. T. Dorman with Brethren W. H. Jopling, James Childress, and Samuel Children as the presbytery. On motion to adjourn.

Second Sunday night preaching by Brother Samuel Childress. After which a short conference for the purpose of granting Brother Busby and his wife Sister Nettie Busby a letter of dismission, which was granted. With the understanding that he be requested to come and give satisfaction to the church concerning his soundness in the gospel faith as a licentiate minister. Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church  Saturday before the second Sunday in February 1898
After preaching by Brother W. H. Jopling church was called to conference.  Privilege of the church was extended for the reception of members none presented themselves.   Called for the reading of the minutes of previous conference, which was adopted with some corrections. Motion to formulate a plan by which to collect money for missionary purposes. On motion and after some discussion a committee was appointed to collect this money to the amount of $10.00 as a basis for the present year. Brethren Charles Pattillo, J. K. Friddell, W. A. Walker, and Sister's Ella Cole and Altonia Walker, committee.  Brother Busby having not given any satisfaction to the church concerning his soundness in the Gospel Faith a discussion was made as to what course to pursue. Which resulted in a motion for the moderator to appoint a committee to wait upon after preaching and report next day Sunday.  Committee names Brethren Charles Pattillo, W. A. Walker, and W. H. Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church  9 April 1898
After preaching by Brother Gibson the church was called to conference.   Privilege of the church was extended for the reception of members none presented themselves. Called for the references including the reading of the minutes of the previous conference which stood adopted.  On motion the reading of the Covenant, Articles of Faith and Rules of Decorum was deferred until the meeting in May. Bro.'s J. E. Fridell, J. K. Fridell, and Tommie Fridell and Sister Femily Fridell called for letters of dismission, which was granted. Conference left open till Sunday. 

On Sunday morning after Sunday School preaching by Brother Gibson after which the privilege of the church was extended for membership Brother J. W. E. Taylor presented himself by letter for himself and wife Sister Sallie Taylor and was received into the fellowship of the church. Sister Taylor not being present the hand of fellowship was deferred till another time.  The church then proceeded to commemorate the Death and Suffering of our Lord, this being ended motion to adjourn conference. Jackson.  Conference resumed, privilege of the church extended for the reception of members and Brother Wade Hutto presented himself by letter and was received into the fellowship of the church.  Then a motion to postpone the reading of the Covenant, Articles of Faith, and Rules of Decorum till July meeting.   Church decided to hold the Protracted meeting in August beginning Saturday before the second Sunday. Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church  Saturday before the second Sunday in July 1898.
At night after preaching by Brother W. H. Jopling church was called to conference.  After a statement by Brother Farmer that Brother Tomlin had been using profane language and by Brother Tomlin's own request that we withdraw fellowship from him. A committee volunteered to call on him on Sunday morning to confer about the matter and report the same day.  Conference left open till Sunday.    On Sunday after preaching by Brother R. G. Jackson conference was resumed by extending the privilege of the church Brother John Stevenson and wife Sister Rhoda Stevenson presented themselves for admission to membership by letter and was received into the fellowship of the church.  The committee of the previous night to confer with Brother Tomlin made a report bringing a charge against Brother Tomlin for swearing and after some discussion a motion and second to exclude him from the fellowship of the church which was carried.   Church proceeded to choose delegates to fifth Sunday meeting at Providence on fifth Sunday in July 1898 J. Sunday (Aug.14) after preaching by Brother Jackson privilege of the church was extended Sister Roxie Cockrell presented herself for membership by letter and was received.

Monday night (Aug.15) after preaching Brother Elzie Walker presented himself for membership as a candidate for baptism and was received.

Tuesday night (Aug.16) after preaching Sister Jennie Pierce presented herself for membership as a candidate for baptism and was received.

Wednesday morning (Aug.17) after preaching by Brother R. G. Jackson privilege of the church was extended Brother H. C. Wynn presented himself for membership as a candidate for baptism and was received.

Wednesday night after preaching the privilege of the church was extended. The Brethren Rock Golden, Alva Walker, Homer Hutto, and Sister Belle Maxwell presented themselves for membership as candidates for baptism.

Thursday (Aug.18) after preaching by Brother Jackson privilege of the church was extended and  Sister Sara Wynn, and Sallie Wynn was received by letter.

Thursday night preaching by Brother Mat Strickland privilege of the church was extended and  W. H. Farmer, Goode Wynn, and Effie Pickerd was received as candidates for baptism and W. W. Wynn was received by statement.

Friday (Aug.19) after preaching by Brother Jopling the privilege of the church was extended and Sister Adline Armstreet presented herself for membership upon a promise of a letter and was received.   Friday night after preaching by Brother Matt Strickland privilege extended and Brother Richard Fonville, Benton Crow, Robert Busby, Luther B. Latimer, Charles Britnell, James Armstreet, presented themselves for membership as candidates for baptism and was received.  Also Brother T. W. Jackson by letter and was received.

Saturday night (Aug.20) after divine service privilege of the church extended and Brethren John Fielder, Walter Smith, William Scott, Jesse Truitt, and Sister's Addie Lee Walker, Emma Stone, Ida Childress presented themselves as candidates for baptism and was received.  Brother R. G. Jackson's ordination was decided upon by the church to be attended to at the September meeting in 1898.

Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church  September 10, 1898
After preaching by Brother R. G. Jackson the church was called to conference.   The privilege of the church was extended for the reception of members. L. M. Truitt  presented himself for membership as a candidate for baptism and was received. Also his wife Sister Louisa Truitt by letter and was received. Sister Adline Armstreet's letter previously promised was produced and read and received.  The church proceeded to elect a pastor for the next associational year. Which resulted in the choice of Brother W. H. Jopling. J. W. C. Britnell was elected clerk of the church for another year. 

Sunday morning (Sep.11) after the baptism and preaching by Brother Spivey of Tenaha,  conference resumed.  The Ordination of Brother R. G. Jackson was attended to with Brother Charles Pattillo spokesman for the church and Brethren W. H. Jopling, J. W. Collins, S. A. Saturday night September 10, 1898   (Two entries for the same date)
After preaching by Brother W. H. Jopling resumed conference by extending the privilege of the church Sister Nettie Fielder presented herself for membership as a candidate for baptism and was received.  Then proceeded to elect delegates to the association at Center, which resulted in the choice of Brethren J. T. Dorman, Richard Fonville, R. G. Jackson, alternates Jay Farmer, Elzie Walker, H. C. Wynn.  Then proceeded to elect messengers to the fifth Sunday meeting at New Union which resulted in the choice of Brethren Colbert Pattillo, L. B. Latimer, Homer Hutto.  Clerk was instructed to prepare letters by the October meeting.

On Sunday we met at the water at 10 o'clock to witness the baptism of three (3) candidates. Brethren L. M. Truitt, Jesse Truitt, and Sister Nettie Fielder. Then retired to the church to hear preaching by Brother Spivey of Tenaha.  After preaching the right hand of church fellowship was given to those of the days baptizing including Sister Lou Truitt by letter. Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church October 8, 1898
After preaching by Brother W. H. Joping the privilege of the church was extended Brother Walter Scott presented himself for membership as a candidate for baptism and was received.   Called for the reading of the second previous conference which was found incomplete and the reading deferred. Roll of members was read.   Brother Benton Crow through J. T. Dorman requested the church to grant him a letter of dismission which was granted. Brother Goode Wynn through E. W. Cockrell called for a letter of dismission which was granted. 

October 8, 1898 at night privilege of the church extended and Brother Julius Fonville  presented himself as a candidate for baptism and was received.

Sunday (Oct.9) after baptism and preaching by Brother W. H. Jopling the privilege of the church was extended none presented themselves for membership.  The letters to the association and fifth Sunday meeting was read and received.  Then the Lord's Supper was partaken of by the church. After preaching by Brother W. H. Jopling the church was called to conference. Privilege of the church was extended for the reception of members none presented themselves for membership.    Called for references including the reading of the minutes of the previous conference which was read and stood adopted.  The reference of long standing in complying with Rule # 9 of our Decorum, the reading of the Articles of Faith and Rules of Decorum was disposed of by reading them.  Called for confession of faults by anyone wishing to be their own accuser Brother Richard Fonville confessed to a fault and said he was sorry for it and asked the church to forgive him. After preaching by Brother R. G. Jackson the church was called to conference.   Privilege of the church was extended for the reception of members none.   Called for the reading of the minutes of the previous conference, stood adopted, no references. Miscellaneous business being in order a charge was brought against Brother Rock Golden for using profanity and a charge was also brought against Brother Homer Hutto for trading a horse on Sunday. And a committee of three appointed to confer with them consisting of Brethren J. W. E. Taylor, J. R. Segler, and J. W. C. Britnell.  And because of a rumor that Brother G. T. Graves and wife were living with each other unscripturally a committee with three was appointed to go and ask them about the matter consisting of Brethren Charles Pattillo, J. T. Dorman, and W. A. Walker. Brother Walter Smith called for a letter of dismission through W. H. Jopling which was granted. Brother Charles Pattillo stated that a letter of dismission from Holly Springs Church, but the church wanted to know how he became a member of Pine Ridge Church and the clerk was instructed to write the facts to them. Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church July 15, 1899
After preaching by Brother W. H. Jopling the church was called into conference. The privilege of the church was extended for the reception of members none presented themselves for membership.  Then called for the references including the reading of the minutes of the previous conference which stood adopted.  Report of the committee that was appointed to confer with Brother Rock Golden was made favorable and the time extended Brother Golden for him to make his acknowledgements to the church.   Brother Homer Hutto was present and made acknowledgement for himself that he was sorry for what he had done and wished for the church to forgive him which was upon motion granted him.  Called for report of the committee that was appointed to confer with Brother G. T. Graves and wife. Brother J. T. Dorman stated that Brother G. T. Graves said the rumor was true and that the Scripture was in our favor and requested us to with draw from him and promised to send a writing to us to that effect, which he promptly did which was read in conference. Also the writing stated that Mrs. Graves requested that she be withdrawn from. Then upon motion a charge was preferred against both himself and wife and they were excluded.  Miscellaneous business: Proceeded to elect messengers to the fifth Sunday meeting at Tenaha, fifth Sunday in July. Which resulted in the choice of Brethren W. A. Walker, W. W. Wynn, and Colbert Pattillo. The clerk was instructed to prepare a letter to the fifth Sunday meeting to be read and approved on the following day, Sunday.  On Sunday the 16th. after preaching by Brother W. H. Jopling the privilege of the church was extended for the reception of members Sister Betsy Ann May presented herself for membership by letter and was received. Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church August 12, 1899
After preaching by Brother W. H. Jopling the church was called to conference. Privilege of the church was extended none presented for membership. Called for the references including the reading of the minutes of the previous conference which was adopted. Miscellaneous business: A charge brought against Brother W. H. Farmer for profanity and by his own request was excluded from the fellowship of the church.  Then on motion and second that we postpone the election of a pastor, clerk and executive board member for the following year until the September meeting.  Time extended Brother Rock Golden for acknowledgement of his fault. Conference left open until close of the Protracted Meeting.

Monday night (Aug.14) the privilege of the church extended and Brother Hulon Walker presented himself for membership as a candidate for baptism and was received.

Wednesday morning (Aug16) privilege of the church was extended Brother Matthew McGee presented himself for membership as a candidate for baptism and was received.   Also Sister Willie Powers by letter and was received into the fellowship of the church.

Wednesday night the privilege of the church was extended Brother A. J. Truitt presented himself for membership as a candidate for baptism and was received.

Thursday morning (Aug.17) privilege of the  church was extended Sister S. J. Perminter presented herself for membership by letter and was received into the fellowship of the church. Also Sister L. S. Bussey presented herself for membership as a candidate for baptism and was received.

Thursday night privilege of the church was extended Brethren Grover Segler and E. B. Sandlin both presented for membership as candidates for baptism and was received.

Friday night (Aug.18) privilege of the church extended Brother E. D. Pickerd presented for membership by letter and was received.

Saturday morning (Aug.19) privilege of the church was extended Brother James Fridell   presented for membership as a candidate for baptism and was received.

Saturday night privilege of the church extended Brethren L. A. Scott, W. C. Pickerd, presented for membership as candidates for baptism and was received. Also Sister Lillian B. Hutto confessed also of a fault of getting angry and saying that which was wrong and asked for forgiveness of the church, which was granted.  Miscellaneous business: The church proceeded to elect a pastor for the next associational year, which resulted in the choice of Brother W. October 8, 1899 collection for Brother Owens for missionary purposes $2.30. After preaching by Brother S. A. Called for the reading of the minutes of the previous conference which was read and stood  adopted.  Called for the report of the committee appointed to confer with Brother and Sister Pierce  Report was made and received. On motion a charge was brought against Sister Ida Pierce for fighting and she was withdrawn from. Then upon motion that we grant Brother Pierce a letter and after some discussion it was granted him.  Brother Jesse Truitt called for a letter of dismission which was granted.  Conference left open.  Saturday night after preaching by Brother Jackson the privilege of the church was extended for membership none.

Sunday (Aug.12) after preaching by Brother W. H. Jopling the privilege of the church was extended for membership Sister Stella Black presented for membership by letter and was received into the fellowship of the church.

Monday (Aug.13) at eleven after preaching the privilege of the church was extended for membership none.  The church proceeded to elect their pastor for the next associational year which resulted in the choice of Brother W. H. Jopling by a unanimous vote  The church then proceeded to elect a clerk and Brother W. A. Walker was chosen for another year.  Monday night after preaching the privilege of the church was extended for membership none.

Tuesday (Aug.14) at eleven and Tuesday night there was preaching.

Wednesday (Aug.15) at eleven preaching.  Wednesday night after preaching privilege of the church was extended for membership four (4) presented themselves for membership as candidates for baptism and was received Sister's Lizzie Thomas, Naome Stephenson, Lodie Manshack, and Brother Oscar Manshack. And by promise of a letter Sister Jennie Manshack and the right hand of Christian and church fellowship was given to them.   Thursday at eleven and at night there was preaching.   Baptizing appointed for Friday at ten o'clock.

Met Friday morning (Aug.17) at the water's edge. After prayer the privilege of the church was extended for membership and two (2) presented themselves for membership as candidates for baptism and was received Sister Ida Stephenson and Brother Manshack. Jopling the church was called to conference.   Privilege of the church was extended for the reception of members none.   Called for references including the reading of the minutes and the minutes not being present they were not read. But the reference concerning arrangements for baptism was arranged for 3 P.M. Sunday evening.  Confessions of faults none.   Miscellaneous business: Sister Etta Fonville called for a letter of dismission through Brother M. E. Cole which was granted.  On motion the church proceeded to elect messengers to the fifth Sunday meeting to be held with us at Pine Ridge fifth Sunday in September,1900 which resulted in the choice of Brethren J. W. C. Britnell, E. J. Willis, J. R. Segler, alternates W. A. Walker, and E. D. Pickerd. A committee on arrangements to secure homes for the fifth Sunday meeting was formed consisting of Brethren Walker, Segler, Britnell, and Willis.  On motion the church proceeded to elect delegates to the association to be held with Tabernacle Church which resulted in the choice of Brethren J. T. Dorman, W. A. Walker, E. W. Cockrell, alternates E. D. Pickerd and J. W. C. Britnell.  Brother H. C. Wynn was recommended by the church as member of the executive board to the association.  On motion a resolution was rescinded which reads as follows: "We will not received any member by letter if said letter has been dated or written over twelve months unless his or her conduct has been upright."  Conference left open.

J. Willis, and J. W. C. Britnell, to investigate and see whether it was so are not. And the committee was instructed to ask him to appear in person and make his own statement concerning the report.  And the church made a pledge of $10.00 as a basic for mission funds to help some weak church in Shelby County. With the understanding they should know where it should go.  Proceeded to elect messengers to the fifth Sunday meeting to be held with Mount Zion Church which resulted in the choice of Brethren E. J. After preaching by Brother Jopling conference was called omitted extending privilege the church and called for the references including the reading of the minutes of previous conference which was read and stood adopted.  Committee on Brother Homer Hutto case released and Brother Homer Hutto was excluded on a charge of being drunk . Miscellaneous business: By move and second the #8 Rule of Decorum was voted out which reads as follows, "No member shall be excommunicated without first giving him a hearing."  Confession of faults, Brother Alvy Walker confessed of being overtaken in a fault and asked the church to forgive him and also to pray for him and it was done.  There was a charge preferred against Sister Ida Dixon for dancing, by move and second she was excluded on said charge on move and second. There was a charge against Brother Rock Golden for not paying a just and honest debt and he was excluded on said charge.   Sister Jinney Manshack's church letter was read and received. There was a resolution read and by move and second it was tabled till our next meeting which reads as follows:  "Be resolved that we the Missionary Baptist Church of Christ at Pine Ridge adopt the following resolution:"  1. Where as we believe the constitution of the Texas Baptist Association is scriptural and right.  2. Be it resolved that we withdraw all connections from the annual convention.  3. Dorman.  by move and second the   delegates were instructed not to have nothing to do with the State Board and that we send no funds and make no pledges to the  organized work.  The clerk was instructed to write a letter to the association and Brother Charles Pattillo was recommended as board member. W. E. Taylor, J. R. Segler, and  Alvy Walker. McGee, Abraham Norrid, and J. W. C. Britnell, alternates Alvy Walker, Fern Brinkley. On motion the church instructed the messengers to supply a board member from among themselves if Brother J. W. E. Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church Met in conference Saturday August 15, 1903.
After preaching by our pastor called for the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting which was read and stood adopted.  Confession of faults, Brother Oscar Manshack made acknowledgements and Brother  Dave Tomlin made acknowledgements and both called for letter of dismission. The church accepted their acknowledgements and granted them letters.  Miscellaneous business: There was a charge preferred against Sister Callie Norrid for denying the faith and the church withdrew fellowship from her.  The church gave up her financial agent and gave the financial business back to the deacons.  The church went into the election of messengers to the fifth Sunday meeting to convene with Charity Church the fifth Sunday in August 1903. Which resulted in the choice of Brother's J. W. C. Britnell, J. H. King, T. W. Newton, alternates A. K. Walker and Z. T. McGee.  The church went into an election of pastor and church clerk which resulted in the choice of Brother W. H. Jopling as pastor; T. W. Newton as church clerk.  Conference left open.

Monday night the privilege of the church was extended and Sister Rains presented herself as a candidate of baptism and was given the right hand of Christian fellowship.

Thursday August 20 the privilege of the church was extended and Brother Henry Sojourner presented himself as a candidate for baptism and was given the right hand of Christian fellowship.

Thursday night the privilege of the church was extended and Sister Fanny Sojourner presented herself as a member on the promise of a letter. Sister Eva Jackson and Brother Johnny Powers presented themselves as candidates for baptism and was given the right hand of Christian fellowship. And the right hand of church fellowship was given to Sister Fanny Sojourner.

Friday August 21 the privilege of the church was extended none presented themselves.

Friday night the privilege of the church was extended and Brother P. H. Cockrell and Sister Mattie Cockrell, Annie Cockrell and Minnie Jackson presented themselves as members by letter and was received and was given the right hand of church fellowship. Brother Riley McGee presented himself as a candidate for baptism and was given the right hand of Christian fellowship.

Saturday August 22 the privilege of the church was extended and Sister Pugh presented herself on the promise of a letter and Sister Dee Preister presented herself as a candidate for baptism and was given the right hand of Christian fellowship.  The church went into an election of messengers to the association which is to convene with the Ramah Church the third Sunday in October, which resulted in the choice of Brother's W. A. Walker, J. W. E. Taylor, J. R. Segler, alternates, A. K. Walker and Earnest Sojourner.  The church also went into an election of messengers to the association which is to convene with Dallas October 28, 1903. Which resulted in the choice of Brother's J. H. King and T. W. Newton.  Saturday night August 22 the privilege of the church was extended and Brother William Parnell and wife presented themselves and was received by letter. Brother J. T. Pugh,  Willie Pugh, Effie Pugh, and Nora Pugh presented themselves and was received on the promise of a letter and was given the right hand of church fellowship.  Sister Mollie Tomlin called for a letter of dismission which was granted. 

Sunday August 23 the church assembled at the water's edge and attended to the ordinance of baptism and the privilege of the church was extended and Sister Zella Jackson presented herself as a candidate for baptism and the right hand of Christian fellowship was given to her.   After preaching the right hand of church fellowship was given Sister's Zella Jackson, Era Jackson, Dee Preister, Nora Walker, Dora Walker, and Brother's Henry Sojourner, Riley McGee, and Johnny Pugh.  No further business claiming the attention of the church conference adjourned.  W. On Saturday before the third Sunday in March 1904 Missionary Baptist Church at Pine Ridge  After preaching by Brother Jopling conference was called.  By move and second Brother W. A. Privilege of the church was extended for the reception of members, none presented themselves.  Minutes of the previous meeting not being present it was past over till next meeting.  Confession of faults, none.  General miscellaneous business: By move and second there was a charge preferred  against Brother Web Wynn for profanity and the Brethren agreed to see Brother Wynn and report at our next meeting.   There being a report that Sister Ethel Barber and Sister Manda Armstrong was living   unscripturally by move and second the Brethren agreed to investigate the report and   see if it was correct. After preaching by our pastor called for the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting which was read and stood adopted. Also the reading of the January minutes was read and stood adopted.  Confession of faults was called for. Brother Hulon Walker made acknowledgement for profanity and his acknowledgement was received and the church forgave him.  Miscellaneous business: There was a charge preferred against Sister Amanda Armstrong for living unscripturally and the church withdrew fellowship from her.   There was a charge preferred against Sister Ethel Barber for living unscripturally and  the church withdrew fellowship from her.  The church agreed to lay over Brother Web Wynn's case until next meeting day.  There was talk of Brother Elzie Walker using profane language and the church agreed  to let his case lay over until next meeting day. After preaching by the pastor the privilege of the church was extended for the reception of members, none presented themselves.Called for the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting which was read and stood adopted. Confession of faults, none. Miscellaneous business: Brother Web Wynn's case was laid over till next meeting. The church went into the election of messengers to the fifth Sunday meeting which is to convene with Tenaha Friday night before the fifth Sunday in May 1904. Which resulted in the choice of Brother's E. J. Willis, W. A. Walker, and J. H. King.  The church also went into the election of a deacon which resulted in the choice of Brother Z. T. McGee and the next conference day was set for the ordination of the deacon.  For the benefit of Brother J. T. Dorman communion was changed from Saturday night to Sunday for one time.   The church elected Brother J. W. E. Taylor as spokesperson for the church in the ordination of the deacon. The church invited Brother Jim Spivey to assist Brother Jopling in ordaining the deacon.  Conference left open.  Sunday after preaching by our pastor the communion table was spread and taken.  No further business claiming the attention of the church conference adjourned.  W. Tomlyn  for using profanity and then on motion to withdraw fellowship from him, on motion he was withdrawn from.  On motion the church went into the election of messengers to the fifth Sunday meeting to be held with the Rehobath Church the fifth Sunday in July 1904.  Which resulted in the choice of Brother's J. Thursday at 11 o'clock before the 3rd. Sunday in October, 1904. Which resulted in the choice of Brothers J. R. Segler, J. H. King, and H. C. Wynn, alternates, Brothers W. W. Wynn, T. W. Newton, & W. Walker.  By a move and second the church voted to have Prayer meeting at 1/2 past 6 o'clock and preaching 1/2 past 7 o'clock.  There was a collection taken up for the money to but oil and then there was $.75 cents collected and turned over to Brother Z. T. McGee.  The clerk was ordered to write a letter to the association so it could be read at our next meeting.    Conference left open.

Privilege of the church was extended and Brother Gus Conway and Sister Conway and Sister Virginia Conway presented themselves for membership on the promise of a letter and was received into the full fellowship of the church.  Sister Winnie Lawrence presented herself for baptism and was received and extended the right hand of Christian love and fellowship to her.

Friday night. Prayer service by Brother Hart Wynn and preaching by Brother Huston Stephens.   Privilege of the church was extended. Brother A. D. Scott presented himself for baptism and he was received into the Christian love and fellowship of he church.  And Sister Ellen Lawrence presented herself for baptism and was received into the Christian love and fellowship of the church.  By move and second there was a committee appointed to act as a building committee to build our church house larger and Brothers J. H. King, Webb Blackman, W. A. Walker, and J. R. Segler was the committee.   Saturday at 10 o'clock. Prayer service conducted by Brother J. R. Segler.   Preaching by Brother W. H. Jopling.  Privilege of the church extended and Brother Arch Cockrell presented himself for baptism and was received into the Christian love and fellowship of church.

And Brother Bob Rodgers and wife presented themselves by letter and they was received into the full fellowship of the church.

Sunday at 10 o'clock the church met at the water. After a short service by Brother Jopling then the ordinances of baptism was attended to. After preaching by Brother Jopling conference was called.  Privilege of the church was extended, none presented themselves.  Called for reference including the reading of the minutes of the last the previous conference which was read and stood adopted. Called for confessions of faults, none. General miscellaneous business. By move and second there was a letter granted to Sister Stella Black through Brother Wharton. The clerk was ordered to write the letter and forward it to her.  By move and second Brother J. W. E. Taylor was still held as our Board Member.There was a committee appointed to arrange homes for messengers to the association.   Which resulted in the choice of Brothers J. W. E. Taylor, W. W. Wynn, W. A. Walker and Sister Mary Jane Truitt.  By move and second the church agreed to try to pay $.25 cents a member for mission work.   The letter to the association was read and stood adopted with correction.   Conference adjourned. 

Saturday night after preaching by Brother Jopling the church partook of the Lord's Supper and had a foot washing.
