James Moore was born in Rusk County. He retired from Texas Department of
Public Safety as a Trooper IV with twenty-seven years of service. Twenty-four of
those years were spent in Shelby County. He served three years in Nacogdoches
County. He served four years as Timpson City Marshall.
James and wife Joyce live in Timpson. He has five children; Christy, Jerrald,
Terri, Mary and Jamie.
