Newbern Lodge No. 97 At Pleasant
Grove - Shelby County Texas
1890-1901
After the elapse of twelve years, in 1889, a new Lodge was chartered by Grand Lodge of Texas to meet at Pleasant Grove in Shelby County. After granting the Charter, Newbern Lodge No. 97. met in Pleasant Grove. In May 20, 1922, dispensation was granted to Newbern to move from Pleasant Grove to Arcadia, a distance of about three and half miles.
