The cemetery is located on private property off Highway 7 and County Road 1180. The cemetery is surrounded by a chain link fence and is abandonded. The cemetery contains about 40 unmarked and/or rock markers graves.

David Choate was the son of Redmon Choate. His family was one of the early settlers in Shelby County. He was a Confederate War Veteran.
