To reach Forbis Cemetery take Highway 96 South toward San Augustine. Just past Huana Creek turn right onto County Road 1024 also known as Short Road.. About 3 miles you will see Sandhill Cemetery take a left on this road for about 1 mile, you will see the fenced cemetery on the left hand side of the road in what is now a cow pasture. The cemetery is abandoned and overgrown.
