The Cemetery was recorded in the book
"OUR DEAD" as the Henrietta Cemetery, but it was originally the Pilgrim Rest
Cemetery. It it not known how or when the name was changed. Thanks to Daurice Murphy for
her assistance. |
Take Logansport Street north of Center, it becomes FM 699, just past the RR tracks turn Left onto CR 2468 go about 2 miles to a double "S" road. The Cemetery is located behind on the right hand side of the road. Some grave markings are lost and unreadable. |

According to rumors -- there was a plague in the area in the 1930's and the persons buried here died from this plague. At one time it was suggested that the cemetery be moved, however fears arose that the plague might return, so the idea was dropped.
