Special thanks to Edgel Permenter and Lloyd Holcomb for their assistance in locating this burial site.
The cemetery is located on the private property of Lloyd Holcomb in the Paxton Community. The land was once owned by Sam Houston Hooper. Upon the death of his children they were laid to rest at the Sam Houston Hooper homestead. The first markers were made of wood which were replaced by Jessie Hooper, the son of Sam Houston Hooper. Sam Houston Hooper is buried in the Ramah Cemetery.
