Go North from Center, Texas on FM Road 699, until you cross the Flat Fork bridge.  Look for the first County Road 3685 on the East (Right).  Turn right onto 3685 and drive 1.4 miles.  It will tee into County Road 3853.  Again, turn right onto 3853.  Drive 0.7 mile and turn right (South) on 3865.  Continue for 0.4 mile.  At the fork of County Road 3865 and a private road, leave the County Road by going straight onto private property for 0.4 mil.  You will stop at a locked gate.   The Cemetery is 0.5 mile beyond the locked gate.  Two cedar posts and orange flagging streamers mark the location.   IT IS ALWAYS BEST TO OBTAIN PERMISSION TO ENTER PRIVATE PROPERTY.

John May migrated to Texas about 1834-1835.  He brought his wife, two sons and belongings from Washington County, MS.  He obtained a Land Grant for 1280 acres in 1836.  John lived on the property until his death after 1870 and before 1880.   Many graves are not marked.  However, 21 PVC pipes mark the locations of some graves of persons unknown.  The large rock core marks John May's last resting place.   The John May Family members were buried here for a period of about 90 years.   David L. May, son of Elizabeth Williams and John Mary, was the last person buried here in 1930.
