Take Highway 87 South through Shelbyville, continue to the Community of Patroon. At the intersection of Highway 87 and FM 2261 turn left, continue 4.9 miles to Forest Road 121 turn right and go 0.6 mile, you will see a dirt road on the right side, turn right for 0.2 mile to the gate, go through the gate for 0.4 mile and you will see another gate on the right side of the road.  The cemetery is about 100 yards on this private property of Walter Beatty.  This small road is the entrance to the property that was once the homestead of Thomas Jefferson Windham.  The road is on the County Line between Shelby and Sabine Counties.  The cemetery is just on the left side of the road in Sabine County.
