D.  EXUM P. PERMENTER, fourth child of Gray and Mary Permenter, was born in 1854 in Mississippi.  He married first EMMERLINE (last name unknown) ca 1877.  She was born in 1862 in Texas and died ca 1885. Her burial place in unknown.

The children of Exum and Emmerline Permenter:

1.  LAURA PERMENTER, first child of Exum and Emmerline Permenter, was born in 1878.  No other data.

2.  LUCY L. PERMENTER, second child of Exum and Emmerline Permenter, was born in August 1882.  She married THOMAS J. MYERS on September 21, 1901.  He was born January 10, 1872 and died October 13, 1918 in Shelby County, Texas.  Lucy died on November 11, 1919 in Shelby County.  Both are buried in North Jericho Cemetery, Shelby County, Texas.

Exum married second time FANNIE FLEMING on August 28, 1888 in Shelby County, Texas.   She was born October 4, 1869 in Alabama  and was the daughter of JOHN and SUSAN PERMENTER FLEMING.  Fannie died on November 16, 1952.  Exum died on June 14, 1916.  Both are buried in Strong Cemetery, Shelby County, Texas.

3.  WILLIAM GRAY PERMENTER, first child of Exum and Fannie Permenter, was born August 6, 1890 in Shelby County, Texas.  He married first VICTORIA WINSLOW on October 10, 1908 in Shelby County, Texas.  She was born November 7, 1884 in Texas and the daughter of TOM WINSLOW.  Victoria died on February 19, 1935 and is buried in Strong Cemetery.

a.  JESSIE HASKELLE PERMENTER, first child of William and Victoria, was born on March 13, 1908.   He married AUDREY BELL WILBURN on May 29, 1931 in Shelby County.  She was born June 19, 1916 and died October 12, 1995 in Bridge City, Orange County, Texas and is buried in Strong Cemetery, Shelby County, Texas.  Jessie died on Marcy 13, 1968 in Orange County, Texas.

1)  EVERRE TENNESSEE PERMENTER, first child of Jessie and Audrey Permenter, was born July 14, 1932.  She married TRUMAN JONES ca 1949.  He was born April 14, 1929.  She married second time AL BROWN after 1951.  She married third time JOE GARY ca 1965.

2)  WILLIAM DAVID PERMENTER, second child of Jessie and Audrey Permenter, was born November 4, 1934.  He married first JOHNNIE TRAHIN ca 1956.  She was born September 3, 1935.

b.   THOMAS BRYANT PERMENTER, second child of William and Victoria, was born July 11, 1911 in Texas.  He married first NELLIE DAISY TAYLOR on March 1, 1931 in Shelby County, Texas.  She was born October 2, 1915 and died in 1965 and is buried in Strong Cemetery, Shelby County, Texas.  Thomas died on December 28, 1995 in Orange County, Texas.
