MYERS, JAMES H., S/Sgt., son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Myers, Shelbyville, Entered Army 1941, trained at Ft. McKinley and Philippines,  attended stereoscopic school.   Served in Philippines, Bataan, Correidor. Japanese POW in May, 1942.  Freed in Manchuria by Russians, August, 1945.  Awarded A-P Ribbon, 3 Stars, Amer. Def., Pre-Pearl A-P Ribbon, 3 Stars, Phil. Def. Ribbons, Pres. Citation with 2 Clusters, Soldier's Medal with Silver Star, Com. Inf. Badge, Purple Heart with 2 Clusters, Wounded at Bataan 4 Times and Corregidor 1 time.
