Graduated at midterm in 1945-1946 and enrolled in the University of Texas at Austin, classes beginning February, 1946. At a YMCA dance for Freshmen, I met Al Alexander, whom I married November 1, 1946. Al was a fighter pilot in World War II, graduated from U of T as a chemical Engineer. His job as an engineer, and his aspiration to write adventure stories took us on extended travels throughout the United States and Europe. We lived in Wiesbaden, Germany and collected information on Soviet rockets for Air Force Technical Intelligence. Al has worn many hats during his career and as a result I have been the wife of a chemical Engineer, a fighter pilot, a field intelligence officer who spied on the Russians and the East Germans. I've been the wife of a corporate executive, and the wife of a flying salesman. While he was busy with his career, I served as Den Mother to the Cub Scouts, Room Mother at School. I took a job as a Dental Assistant, model and sales person at the Dallas Apparel Mart. I was a avid gardener and garden-clubber, I won ribbons for flowers and flower designs at the Dallas Garden Center and Flower Shows. I went in to Real Estate in Dallas. I retired from real estate flew with Al on sales calls. Al's books "Dead Ringer, The Purga Affair" and Double Deal were sold to Knightsbridge Publishing Company. "The Grave Eagle Conspiracy" was never published. The end of Berlin Wall and the Cold War meant the end of spy stories. We have formed Palm Tree Press and have published two books. One is "How To Craft Murder Mysteries" and the other is a mystery, "The Last Blue Kiss." Copies of both have been donated to the Center Library in the memory of Gladys Moosberg, my mother, who herself was an aspiring writer, and worked hard to make the Center Library a better library. We returned to Corpus Christi in 1987 and spend our time on short trips, and attending writers' conventions, so we still have an active live.
