Betty Sue Cooper, 86, of Shelbyville, died February 12, 2025, in Center.  Interment was in Wimberly Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born July 8, 1938, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Carl Henderson McWhiney and Lula Smith McWhiney.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Kenneth Dean Cooper; Children, Ronald Fletcher, Donald Fletcher, Catherine Fletcher; Parents; Brother, Leroy McWhiney; Sisters, Audrey Stolz and Nannie Bush.  Survivors include, Children, Sarah Boyter & husband Paul of Longview, Brenda Lawson & husband Rick of Spring, Carl Fletcher & wife Dana of Houston, Carolyn Fulton & husband Mark of Bonanza, Oregon, Evelyn Enequist & husband John of Essexville, Michigan, Billy Cooper & wife Elane of Orlando, Florida; Sister, Elizabeth Bowler of Jackson, Michigan.

George Henry Hicks, 91, better known as “Sang”, died February 11, 2025 in San Augustine, Texas. He was born December 3, 1933 in Milam, TX.  Interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Milam, Texas.

OPAL C. MOORE McLEROY
Opal C. Moore (Trentelman) McLeroy, 94, of Timpson Texas, died February 16, 2025 at Nacogdoches Medical Center Nacogdoches Texas.  Interment was in County Line Cemetery.  She was born December 25, 1930 in Neelyville, MO. to Archie and Cora Moore.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Garland McLeroy; Parents; Daughter, Marcia Shaklee; Sisters, Martha Brake, Mildred Joiner; Brothers, Francis Moore, Alfred Moore, Winfred Moore.  Survivors include, Son, Gary H. Trentelman & spouse, Neisha of Wylie; Stepdaughter, Tawnya Dornak & spouse, Robert of Sugarland.

RICKEY LYNN DISON
Rickey Lynn Dison, 75, of Gary, Texas, died Friday, February 14, 2025, in Tyler, Texas.  His ashes will be laid to rest at Gary Cemetery in Gary, Texas at a private family service.  He was born on December 7, 1949, in Rio Grande City, Texas, to Luther C. Dison and Ozell Jones Dison.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Sister, Teri Kathleen Dison; Brothers, Bryant, Clifford, Charles Dison.  Survivors include, Partner, Linda Hancock of Gary, Texas; Sons, Cliff Dison of Marshall, Texas, Rayce Kamron Redell of Florida, Jeff Dison of California; Daughters, Angel Burkett &  husband Bo of Atlanta, Texas, Mandy Sosbee & husband Clifton of Princeton, Louisiana, Shelly Cockerham & partner Robb of Carthage, Texas, Katy Roberts & husband Jeremy of Marshall, Texas; Brother, Mark Dison, Sisters, Marti Washington, Sander Christison, Dawn Smith, Melody Moore.

TOMMY CAPITI
Tommy Capiti, 65, of Nacogdoches, died February 10, 2025. Interment was in Westview Cemetery, Center, Texas.  He was born November 29, 1959, in Center, Texas, to his mother, Joanna Seastrunk, who preceded him in death at three weeks old, and was raised by his adopted mother and father, Florence and King Capiti. Tommy Capiti was raised in Lamarque, Texas.  He was preceded in death by, Parents, Florence and King Capiti; Brother, Thomas Buckely; Sister, Sharon Williams.  Survivors include, Wife, Terry Capiti of Nacogdoches, Texas; Brothers, Clifton Capiti of Nacogdoches, Texas, Josiah Robertson of Arizonia; Sister, Margie Gaines of Houston, Texas; Sisters-in-Law, Vickie Rushing of Center, Texas, Shirley Rucker of Center, Texas, Pearly Harris of Center, Texas, Lisa Carpenter (Eric) of Center, Texas, Allison Young (Harry) Yazoo, Mississippi; Brother-in-law, Donald Rushing of Houston, Texas.

ROBERT STARLING CLIFTON
Robert Starling Clifton, 70, of Center, Texas, died February 11, 2025, at U T Health Center in Tyler, Texas.  Interment was in Houston National Cemetery.  He was born February 24, 1954.  Survivors include, Brothers, Paul Clifton of Port Arthur, Texas, Larry Clifton of Nacogdoches, Texas, Steven Edwards of San Augustine, Texas; Sisters, Elizabeth Dupree of San  Augustine, Texas, Mary Mosby of Beaumont, Texas.
