CHARLES EDWARD POU, JR.
Charles Edward Pou, Jr., 76, died July 7, 2026. Interment was in Ramah Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born on December 8, 1949, in Orange, Texas, to Sibie J. (Schrieber) Pou and Charles Edward Pou, Sr. He was a cherished brother to Carolyn Jean Pou, who resides in Austin, Texas. Charles was a nationally-recognized pioneer in the field of alternative dispute resolution. As co-author of the Congressional Administrative Dispute Resolution Act of 1990, Charles helped to spearhead the use of mediation and consensus processes in the federal government. He mediated large-scale regulatory and public policy disputes, trained government leaders and consulted with individual states on the implementation of mediation ethics and confidentiality. Charles's life was one of quiet strength and profound impact, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know him. His warmth, wit, and wisdom will be deeply missed, but his legacy will endure in the hearts of those he touched. Injustice was his enemy. |

Lloyd Andrew Willis, 76, of Granite City, Illinois, died March 14, 2023, at the St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri. He was born September 14, 1946 at St. Louis, MO, to the late Elmer LaWayne Willis and Viola Olive Crabb. Lloyd grew up and lived most of his life in St. Louis, MO, but had lived in Granite City, IL the last 17 years. Survivors include, Wife, Brenda Dianne Greer; Daughter, Tracy Lynn Willis and her husband, James Kelso of Granite City, IL; Son, David Andrew Willis and his wife, Joanne of Granite City, IL.
