Jena (Candy) Kirkley Stennett Engle, 71, of Jefferson, Texas, died March 15, 2024, in Jefferson, Texas.  She was born November 5, 1952, in Center, Texas, to Joyce Ham Kirkley and Eugene Kirkley. She attended school in Center and graduated from high school in 1971.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Steve Engle; Father, Eugene Kirkley; Infant Sister, Colleen.  Survivors include, Mother, Joyce Ham Kirkley of Center, Texas; Daughter, Renee Swain of Littleton, Colorado; Son, Shelby W. Stennett of Arvada, Colorado; Brother, Richard Kirkley of Kerrville, Texas.

CHARLES LESTER
Charles "Chuck" Lester, 86, of Marshall, Texas, died April 8, 2024 in Tyler.  Interment was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born July 1, 1937 in Baytown, Texas to Oran and Helvi (Matola) Lester. Chuck grew up in the Houston area before joining the United States Navy. He served during the Vietnam War and was stationed on many different ships including the USS Guam and the USS Kitty Hawk and became a Naval Instructor.  He was preceded in death by, Parents, Oran and Helvi Lester; Sisters, Doris Atkison, Edie Hull.  Survivors include, Wife, Glenda Lester; Son, Dean Lester and wife Cancee; Daughter, Dee Wylie and husband Torrey; Brother, David Lester; Sister, Margaret Tullis.
