Cost of the book until September 1, 2002 is $50.00 plus $10.00 (if to be mailed).  After September 1, 2002 the cost will be $60.00  Plus $10.00 (if book is to be mailed.  The dead line to submit articles for the book is JUNE 30, 2002

Obituaries
CLAUDIA MAE MARTIN---Claudia Mae Martin, 85, died April 29, 2002 in Center.  Burial was in North Jericho Cemetery. Born March 22, 1917, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Ed and Exa Jones Cogswell.  She was preceded in death by her husband T.J. Martin and son Truman Belrose.  Mrs. Martin is survived by children C.D. Belrose of Houston, E.M. Belrose of Lufkin, William Wayne Belrose of Kingsland, Roy Dale Belrose of Georgia, Austin Lee Belrose of Logansport, Louisiana, John Martin of Joaquin, Eva Grice of Monroe, Louisiana, June Dubose of Tenaha, Billie Davis of Colorado, Laverne Sanders of Mt. Enterprise; sisters, Ruth Oliver of LaMarque and Linda Lou Lawler of Longview.
CHARLES RUSHING MANNING---Charles Rushing Manning, 89, died April 10, 2002. Burial was in Texas State Cemetery, Austin, Texas.   Born August 13, 1912 in Shelby County, he was the son of C.A. and Frances Watson Manning.  He was preceded in death by his Wife Opal Manning in December 2002. Mr. Manning is survived by his son Joe K. Longley.
MINNON GARRETT, JR.,---Minnon Garrett, Jr., died April 19, 2002.  Mr. Garrett is survived by children, Melvin Garrett, Tony Garrett, Gloria, Machell and Roslyn. Net and special friend Roy of Longview; brother Howard; sisters, Dorothy Jean , Willie Ira, Wonda. Community Funeral Home.
KATHERINE HALL GRAY---Katherine Hall Gray, died April 24, 2002.  Burial was in Westview Cemetery. Born September 19, 1931, she was the daughter of Vessie Winn, Sr. and Emma Winn. Mrs. Gray is survived by her sisters, Annie J. Taylor and Jimmie J. Brock both of Center. Community Funeral Home.
