Morris Fremont Woods, 73, of Joaquin, Texas, died May 7, 2026, in Joaquin, Texas. Interment was in Brookland Cemetery, Joaquin, Texas.  He was born on July 11, 1952, in Johnson City, Tennessee, to Phillip Woods and Verna Ruth (Wilson) Woods. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years and the United States Army for eight years. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Sister-in-law, Evelyn Woods.  Survivors include, Wife, Joyce Woods; Son, Evan Woods; Daughters,
Melissa Woods, Talene Willard Mutina and husband Richard, Tasha Willard Fortenberry; Brothers, Mike Woods, Tim Woods and wife Susan, Alan Woods and wife Sandi, Scott Woods, Tony Woods and wife Kelli; Sister, Donna Krohn and husband Gary.

Marvies DeNette Garrett, 59, died May 9, 2026.  She was born  March 9, 1967, to  parents, Minnon Garrett, Jr. and Mary L. Reed.  She graduated from Center High School in 1985. She was preceded in death by, Mother, Mary L. Reed; Father, Minnon Garrett, Jr.; Brothers, Melvin Jackson, Eric Garrett; Sister, Gloria Garrett.  Survivors include, Son, Anthony Riggans; Sisters, Michelle Hubbard, Roslyn Land, Mary L. Garrett; Brothers, Tony Garrett, Demetris Mosley.

JEANETTE McSWAIN MENA
Jeanette McSwain Mena, 83, of Broaddus, Texas, died May 15, 2026, at her residence.  Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas.  She was born April 4, 1943, in Buna, Texas, to Lillian Brown and Warren G. McSwain.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Brothers, Warren Gene McSwain, Ronnie Clark McSwain.  Survivors include, Husband, Lynn W. Samuel “Bob” Skiles, Sr., 73, of Shelbyville, died May 16, 2026, in Shelbyville. His wishes were to be cremated, and no services are planned.  He was born September 30, 1952, in San Antonio, to Samuel A. CHARLES GLENN POLLARD
Charles Glenn Pollard, 80, died May 12, 2026.  Interment was in Tennessee Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born May 3,1946 to Joe and Helen Pollard in Center, Texas.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Survivors include, Wife, Sharon; Daughters, Julie Martin, and son-in-law, Scott, Jennifer Pollard; Brothers, Joe Pollard, and wife, Mary Lynn, John Pollard, and husband, Henry Garcia; Brother-in-law, John Mathews and partner Kathi White; Sister-in-law,  Liz Marris and husband Dicky.

BO ALPHA
Bo Alpha, 77, of Timpson, died May 17, 2026, at his residence in Timpson. He was born September 9, 1948, in Houston to Erma Lucille (McCracken) Alpha and Adam F. Alpha.  Interment was in Rosewood Cemetery, Humble, Texas.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brothers, Frank Alpha, Melvin (Jimmy) Alpha, Henry Alpha; Sisters, Jeanette Longtine, Edna Alpha.  Survivors include, Son, Bryan Alpha and wife, Dana; Daughter, Denise Burleson.

N.  H. JOHNSON, SR.
N. H. Johnson, Sr., 93, died May 12, 2026, in Center.  Interment was in Blount Chapel Cemetery.  He was born August 1, 1932 to Jessie Johnson and Bonnie B. Mitchell in Hemphill, Texas.  Survivors include, Children, James Moore, Tommy and Cheryl Johnson, Willie Johnson, Clyde and Margie Johnson, Dietta and E.L. Nickerson, Carolyn Lacy, Doris and Tommy Samuel, Eddie Johnson, Calvin and Jennene Smith, Priscilla and Marcus Williams, Sandra and Robert Horton, Zandra Smith, June and Lynn Beasley, Tyrone and Megan Smith.

MICHAEL D. STEPHENSON
Michael D. Stephenson, 81, of Tenaha, died May 6, 2026, in Nacogdoches. He was born on March 25, 1945, in Carthage, to Oran and Frances Stephenson.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Survivors include, Wife, Patsy Ruth Williams Stephenson; Sons, Jack Stephenson and wife Crystal, Grant Stephenson and wife Lindsay; Daughter, Dana White; Brother, Jerry Stephenson.

PEGGY ELAINE MIDKIFF
Peggy Elaine Midkiff, 85, of Center, died May 20, 2026, in Center.  Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center.  She was born March 30, 1941, in Center, to Kelton Samford and Addie Mae Pleasant Samford.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Wayne Samford.  Survivors include, Husband, Spencer Midkiff; Children, Tammie Jane and husband Ray Tindol, Mitchell Midkiff and wife Deborah, Kerri and husband Kevin Leech.
