MARIE MADALENE STANLEY LONG
Marie Madalene Stanley Long, 100, of East Texas, died June 26, 2024. Interment was in Spann’s Chapel Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born May 7, 1924 in Jasper, Texas to Bertie Mae McBride Stanley and Ira A. “Doc” Stanley.  She was the eldest daughter of seven children.  She was preceded in death by all of them.  Survivors include, Daughter, Edna Long Nelson (son-in-law, Jimmy Wayne Nelson); Son, Lewis Kenneth Long.

JOHN EUGENE TODD, SR.
John Eugene Todd, Sr. 71, died June 26, 2024, in Timpson, Texas. Interment was in Cold Springs Cemetery, Garrison, Texas.  He was born September 25, 1952, to Sam K. Todd and Frances “Louise” (Stone) Todd in Garrison, Texas.  He was preceded in death by, Son, John Todd, Jr., Parents; Brother, Jimmy “Buster” Todd.  Survivors include, Wife, Patricia (McDonald) Todd; Children, Mike Todd & wife, Tonya of Judsonia, Arkansas, Doy “Nathan” Todd & wife, MaKenzie of Timpson, Jesse (Todd) Taylor & husband, Stacy of Joaquin; Siblings, Betty Caldwell & husband, Dan Nell Yates, Sam “Bo” Todd, Frankie Parkman & husband, Kim, Joe Todd & wife, Linda.

JOHN MICHAEL TOWNS
John Michael “Mike” Towns, 80, of Jasper, died June 28, 2024, in Jasper.  Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson.  He was born December 29, 1943, in Timpson, to Ebben Towns and Annie Bernice Robinson Towns.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Mother-in-law, Miriam Jernigan.  Survivors include, Wife, Rebecca (Becky) Towns of Jasper; Children, Lisa McLawchlin & husband Kevin of Timpson, Micky Ray and Melinda Howard Ray of Kingwood; Misty Ray of Center.

VIRGINIA S. ROYES
Virginia S. Royes, 89, of Center, Texas, died June 28, 2024, in Nacogdoches, Texas.  Interment was in Springhill Cemetery, Laurel, Mississippi.  She was born on January 16, 1935, in Laurel, Mississippi, to William Washington Sumrall and Ollie Mae (Bush) Sumrall.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, John Royes, Jr; Parents; Brothers, Joe Sumrall, Frank Sumrall; Sisters, Juanita Johnson, Rachel Evans, Rebecca Jackson. Survivors include, Son, Andrew Royes; Daughter, Karen & husband Roger Gray.

ELIJAH JAMAAL BERRY
Elijah Jamaal Berry, 15, of Center, Texas, died June 29, 2024, in Center, Texas.  Interment was in Mt. Dena Cemetery, San Augustine, Texas.  He was born on January 9, 2009, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to Valerie Moore and Judge Davis II.  Elijah attended Center High School and was looking forward to going to Roughrider Academy.  Survivors include, Mother, Valerie Moore (Pastor Jeremy Moore); Father, Judge Davis II; Sisters, Raveen Berry, Ja’Aliyah Moore; Brothers, Judge Davis III, Jayden Davis, Jaylen Davis.

Donna Lynn Saxon, 57, of Carthage, Texas, died July 8, 2024, at her home in Carthage.  Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center.  She was born December 11, 1966 in Center, Texas to Rex and Brenda Doggett Richards.  She was preceded in death by, Father, Rex Richards; Step-father, Gene McDaniel.  Survivors include, Mother, Brenda McDaniel; Son, Kagen Smith & wife Stephanie; Brother, David Richards & wife Michelle; Step-mother, Suzie Richards.
