Allen Sims, 73, of Shelbyville, died July 24, 2024, in Shelbyville.  Interment was in Rather Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born June 6, 1951, in Houston, Texas to   Ward Allen Sims, Sr. and Lue Rodrick Sims.  He was preceded in death by, Father; Brothers, Randy Sims, Howard Sims; Mother-in-law, Elaine Yarbrough; Sister-in-law, Mary Sims; Father-in-law, Dan Windham.  Survivors include, Wife, Debbie Sims; Children, Melody Vaughn, Chris Vaughn, Brent Sims; Mother, Lue Sims; Brothers, Rickie Sims & wife Mary, Benny Sims & wife Barbara; Sister, Margie & husband James Estes; Sisters-in-law, Connie Fletcher, Cathy Lee, Patricia Bush, Donna Penny & husband Bobby; Brother-in-law, Danny Windham & wife Vonda.

JAMES EARL SUELL
James Earl Suell, 76, of The Colony, Texas, died July 15, 2024. Interment was in Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery.  He was born to the late Mathew Lee and Emma Garrett Suell in Center, Texas on July 4, 1948. Survivors include, Wife, June Lister Suell of The Colony, Texas; Sons, Johathan Johnson of The Colony, Texas, Jamie Suell of Shelbyville, Texas; Sister, Patsy Hall of Shelbyville, Texas; Brothers, Melvin Suell (Mattie) of Center, Texas, Elzie Suell (Mary) of Center, Texas, Marlon Suell (Pam) of Shelbyville, Texas, Ray Suell of Shelbyville, Texas; Mother-in-law, Norma Lister of Shelbyville, Texas.
Services are entrusted to Hicks Mortuary and Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.

JENNIE AINSWORTH CASTO
Jennie Ainsworth Casto, 94, of Center, Texas, formerly of Shreveport, Louisiana, died July 18, 2024, in Center, Texas.  Interment was in Marthaville, Louisiana.  She was born on June 22, 1930, in Powhatan, Louisiana, to Arthur Ransom Ainsworth and Donnie (Ingram) Ainsworth.  She is preceded in death by, Husband, Don Casto; Parents; Daughter, Melanie Dunlap; Brothers, Harvey Ainsworth, Aubrey Ainsworth, Dogie Ainsworth, Bobby Ainsworth; Sister, Naomi Ainsworth Porter.  Survivors include, Daughter, Peggy Lamkin & husband Ken; Son, Stephen Dunlap; Sister, Annie Mae Carter; Daughters-in-love, Pam Dyes, Peggy Baylor.

GREGORY ALVIN FLING
Gregory Alvin Fling, 65, of Mount Enterprise, Texas, died July 20, 2024, in Tyler, Texas.  His wishes were to be cremated.   He was born on June 29, 1959, in Bremenhaven, Germany, to Hunter Fling and Hattie (Murphy) Fling. He was preceded in death by his parents.  Survivors include, Wife, Kimberly Fling; Sons, Michael Fling of Jacksonville, Fl., Christopher Hill of Mount Enterprise, TX., Richard Hill and wife Macayla of Timpson, TX.; Daughters, Jalynne Reeves and husband Paul of Mount Enterprise, TX., Brittany Hill of Benton, LA.; Brothers, The Luminant Mining “Family”; Sister, Patricia Hardin and husband Tony.

JUDY BELINDA RAINES
Judy Belinda Raines, 74, died July 23, 2024. Interment was in Timpson MBC Cemetery.  She was born on February 28, 1950, in Center, Texas.  She was preceded in death by, Husband of 53 years, Buck Raines; Parents, Elvis and Nell Rhodes; Sister, Kay Whitton.  Survivors include, Children, John Elvis & wife Angela Raines, Andy & wife Rachel Raines; Marc Raines, Michael & wife Rachel Raines; Brother-in-law, Cecil Whitton.
Services are under the direction of Taylor Funeral Home, Timpson.

KAREN BITTICK
Karen Bittick, 76, of Center, died July 26, 2024 at the Shelby Emergency Department. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.  Karen worked with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department from September 1994 until her retirement in December 2015. During her years of service, she worked with four different administrations: Carl Shofner, James Moore, Newton Johnson, and Willis Blackwell. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Wayne Bittick.

LINDA KAY BLUFORD ARNOLD
Linda Kay Bluford Arnold, 68, of San Augustine, Texas, died July 28, 2024, in Lufkin, Texas.  Survivors include,  Son, Michael Oneal Arnold of Lufkin; Brothers, Willie Bluford, Jr. of Shelbyville, Eddie Bluford of Center, Robert Bluford of Fort Worth; Johnny Lee Bluford (Audrey) of Center, Nicholas Bluford of San Augustine, Alton Bluford of Tacoma, Washington; Sisters, Brenda K. Bluford of San Augustine, Lee Bower (Benjamin) of Center, Polly Bluford of San Angelo.
 
Services are under the direction of Garner and Son Mortuary and Johnson Funeral Home.
