Kaleb Wayne Amos, 34, of Timpson, Texas, died August 1, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. Interment was in Shady Grove Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born on July 25, 1990, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to Stephen Amos and Debi Edwards Amos. He was a 2008 graduate of Timpson High School. Survivors include, Daughters,Paislee Lynn Amos, Pailynn Rose Amos, Charlee Claire Amos; Parents, Stephen and Debi Amos; Sisters, Kristan & Mark Solomon of Timpson , Kelli Holloway & Kevin Smith of Timpson.

CHARLES NEWTON LUNSFORD
Charles Newton Lunsford, 90, of Spring, Texas, died August 3, 2024. He was born May 24, 1934, in Center to Helen and Charlie Lunsford. He graduated from Center High School in 1951. He served in the United States Army until 1957. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Sam and wife Sidna; Sister, Betty and husband, Bryan Russ; in-laws, Phabrice and Rex Payne; Brother-in-law, Vance Payne. Survivors include, Wife, Lee Gayle Payne Lunsford; Children and families, Susan and husband, Joey Guedea of Fort Worth. Their son, Jonah and his wife, Jamie, and their daughter, Afton. Charlie Lunsford and wife, Libby of Boerne. Their daughters, Claire and husband, Jake Hagen; Mary Kate and husband, Ben Carl; and Caroline and husband, Cinco Winston. Dr. Monty Lunsford currently lives in Portland, Oregon. Mary and husband, Robbie Thompson of Spring. Their children Jake, Tyler and Gracie. Sister-in-law, Billie Sue Payne of Center.

KAREN J. BITTICK
Karen J. Bittick, 76, of Center, died July 26, 2024, at the Shelby Emergency Department. Interment will be in Short Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born in Center, Texas, on September 2, 1947, to Royce Edward Johnson and Maxine McSwain Johnson. She graduated from Center High School in 1965. She worked with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department from September 1994 until her retirement in December 2015. During her years of service, she worked with four different administrations: Carl Shofner, James Moore, Newton Johnson, and Willis Blackwell. She was preceded in death by, Father, Royce Edward Johnson; Mother, Maxine McSwain Jernigan; Step-father, William (Bill) Jernigan; Father-in-law, Wylie Bittick; Mother-in-law, Iola Bittick; Brothers-in-law, Ed Bittick, Eugene Bittick, John Winder; Sisters-in-law, Patsy Rice, Jo Ann Davis. Kenneth Harvey Dyber, 61, of Center, Texas, died August 3, 2024, in Center. He was born in New York City on April 12, 1963 to Miriam (Mickey) Dyber and Rabbi Seymour Baumrind. As a young adult, he moved to Israel where he joined a kibbutz and served in the Israeli Defense Forces for several years. GILFORT BOOKER COLEMAN
Gilfort “Gill” Booker Coleman, 74, of Dallas, Texas, died August 1, 2024, at local hospital in the DFW area. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Camden, Arkansas. He was born January 7, 1950, to the late Booker Coleman and Gladys Scott in Houston, Texas. Gill was raised by his grandparents, Joe Gardner and Edith Osby Gardner in Center, Texas. In 1967, Gill graduated from C.H. Daniels High School. He was ranked 3rd in his class. Following high school, he became a proud graduate of East Texas State University (now known as Texas A&M University - Commerce). He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 1973 and Master of Science degree in 1974. He was the first black graduate of the Master’s program in Computer Science, positioning him for professional success. Survivors include, Son, Gilfort Scott Coleman (Yvette); Siblings, Delmas Scott (Treanell), Sandra Carter, Anita Scott (Will), Steven Coleman (Debra), Roderick Scott, Doris Terry (Rodmey), Thomas Quinton Nunn, Patricia Nunn Brown (Richard), Charlene Nunn; Adopted Daughter, Danielle Williams.
