MARY WHYTE---Mary Whyte, 64, of Center died October 5, 2002 in Shelby Regional Medical Center. The family elected cremation. Born September 22, 1938 in Denton County, she was the daughter of Milton and Doris Paddock Bertrand. DOROTHY FAYRENE JONES---Dorothy Jones, 72, of Center died October 5, 2002 in Pine Grove Nursing Home. Burial was in Ramah Cemetery. Born April 11, 1930, in Tenaha, she was the daughter of Henry Thomas and Georgie Ritnour Conway. Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, William A. Jones of Center; sons, Asia Lawthorn of Conroe, Thomas Jones of Farmersville and William T. Jones of Center; daughter, Margie Trim of Shelbyville; stepson, Alvin Jones of Monroe, Louisiana; stepdaughters, Earline Carver of Monroe, and Ruth Ivey of West Monroe; brother, Lavell Conway of Arlington; sister, Eva Curry of Garrison. Born May 1, 1909, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Perry and Alice English Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leo Corbell and Bentley Wilburn.
