The Shelby County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting October 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Shelby County Museum located on Pecan Street. The speaker this month will be Mr. Larry Hume.  He will speak to us about the 100th Anniversary of World War I. Everyone is invited to attend.

Terressa Gail Shields, 56, of Joaquin, died October 4, 2018, at her residence. Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas. She was born June 6, 1962, in Center, to Johnny Shelton and Patsy Smith Shelton. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Stepson, Brian Shields; Brother, Mike Shelton. CHARLETTA ANNE HADEN CONWAY
Charletta Anne Haden Conway, 72, of Timpson, Texas, died October 4, 2018 at Community Hospice of Texas. She was born January 15, 1946, in Liberty, Texas, to Eula & Moxie Haden. Her biggest joys were her daughter, her grandchildren, and spending time with the friends she claims as family. She has been in industries such as health and retail where she thrived in taking care of others.

He was born in Center, Texas on February 23rd, 1964 to Tommie LaMyrl and Charles Hershel Alexander. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was born on January 19, 1949 in Center, Texas to Troy and Claudia Belrose. He served his country in the United States Army. He served with the 101st Airborne Division while in Vietnam, where he was awarded the Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal.
