Charles Leonard Skinner, known as "Skeeter,", died October 25, 2024. Interment was in Bethel Cemetery, Logansport, La. He was born on March 28, 1930, in the Woodsprings-Bethel Community to Cleveland Robert Skinner and Minnie Lee Bolton. In December 1950, Skeeter joined the U.S. Navy, serving for three years and ten months as a radar man on the USS Manchester. CAPTAIN JOHN MARK MOORE
Captain John Mark Moore, 80, of Center, Texas, died October 6, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada. John was born December 17, 1943 in Center, Texas, to Floyd Moore and Helen Fay Smith Moore. Interment was in Southern Nevada Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery . He graduated from Center High School in 1962. He joined the Apollo Mission of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration in 1968, providing technical support for in-flight communications. In 2022, John was elected into the Center High School Hall of Honor. He was preceded in death by, Father, Floyd Moore; Mother, Helen Fay Smith Moore; Brothers, Steve Moore, Joey Moore, Jeff Moore. Survivors include, Wife, Kerry Catlett Moore; Children, Dr. Lisa Catherine Moore; Richard Andrew Moore, Tammy Lewis, Amy Daileda; Brother, Paul Moore; Sisters, Mary Catherine Mimsy Spells, Patty Livingston (Jimmy), Nancy Norris Devonshire.
